What is the cam and what is the lifter preload? Which lifters?

Sounds like sewing machine noise to me, and the camera usually makes it sound worse than it is.

Please do a VID from the top. Do a little engine revving and RPM deceleration.

Who did the install???

There is a LOT to doing a quality CAM install.

Here are a few of them::
Checking the lifter preload to select the correct push rod length, Installing NEW LIFTER BUCKETS, Checking the rockers and rocker pedestal stand for wear, and last but not least,, spending the cash and installing NEW LIFTERS that are able to live up to the increased lift and higher spring pressures.

Did they install new valve springs?????

Bill

My trans am had that ticking sound as well. It was the normal cammed ls sound when cammed.

Yes new valve springs was replace. I'm going to change the lifters and buckets when swapping to 243 head. Which lifter do you recommend (ls7,morel or johnson)?
