Doing some research I see this is a common issue, any pro tips?
This was a common problem on C5's as GM had recalls on this issue back in early 2000's. Many were fixed under warranty ( cost to fix it at the dealer about $900 ).
My car only had about 8000 miles on it when I installed my drop spindles, so I replaced my axle seal on the drivers side while it was apart, passenger side was fine, so I left it alone.
Not really a nasty job at all. IIRC it's just a matter of unbolting and hanging the brake caliper, unbolting the upper shock mount and upper control arm, then compressing the shock and swinging it out of the wheel well, which should let you pull the axle shaft out.
I got under the car again today. There was evidence of oil on the vent. But there is also evidence of the output seal letting oil out as well. I cleaned up as much as I could under there. Just gonna monitor the level of fluid for the next couple of drives and see if I am really losing fluid and cross that bridge of swapping the seal.
