Default Crank pinning question

ECS crank pinning kit, drilled the end of the crank, but how tight should the dowel pin sit in the hole I've drilled? The pin slips in to the hole easily and I can remove it with a magnet. I'm assuming this is too loose? Should I try to redrill or just toss some loctite or anaerobic sealant on it and let it be?

It does not need to be snug. The depth drilled should make it flush with the end of the crank. Some loctite on it won't hurt. The balancer bolt is what keeps it in place.

^^ what he said. its to keep it from spinning, which it'll do provided it's there at all.

no harm at all in sealing it in place for peace of mind.

McMaster-Carr sells pins in 0.0005" increments if you want a larger pin to fit. I'm sure other companies do as well. To disallow relative movement of the crank and the balancer hub the pin should be at least a line fit. Loctite doesn't help with fit.
