the million dollar question, are the plugs the cause of the misfire?... I think the tr6 plugs will be better than what the op has now regardless but there could be a bunch of other causes for a random misfire... when did it first start happening?... was it immediately or soon after the car had parts installed or tinkered with?

Took a "spirited" drive the other day and made some high rev runs and then the engine light started flashing and it started running rough, Immediately checked code and P0300 .....then it went away. It starts and runs fine until i try to accelerate then misfires again. I have not made any changes except for oil change
Do a resistance test of the spark plug wires. A stock LS1 Plug wire should read 300 ohms to 750 ohms end to end. If they are reading very high the spiral wound nickel wire inside is broken and can very likely cause the misfire.
While the wire is out, examine the boots, the wire and,,, the metal connection metal terminals inside the boots and inside the coil.
If they are green corroded or damaged, the wire is bad.
I highly recommend the GM Performance red wires. Best band for the buck! They work exceptionally well, fit properly and have high quality materials.

All better now, Wires were Delphi/Packard original and the plugs were also original and apparently never gapped correctly for the Procharger. I went with the red GMPP wires and the NGK TR6 gapped at .035 .....runs like new, Thanks for the insight !
Now I just have to wait for all the nicks and cuts to heal ..........WTF !
