My tires have 30 psi in them. The DIC has readings of around 3-5 lb less which is setting off the alarm. Is new sensors in store or can alarm be set to activate at lower psi. Gets worse in colder weather.
Yeah, I got a low pressure reading on my 03 Vert too when the first cold front came through. I checked all the tires and added a few pounds to them all.
When I drove the car for awhile I checked the readouts and they were all several pounds lower than actual.
I'm not going to worry about it. I check them pretty often.
I don't think there is any adjustment available to recalibrate the sensors. They simply transmit a signal to the car's receiver. It is what it is. The learning procedure only causes the car's receiver to recognize the signal from the sensors, not to recalibrate them.
If they are off calibration the only fix is new sensors that should be correct.

Good luck.
Have never heard of any adjustments to the calibration that can be made.
I just replaced all of mine in the Vette with the new set of tires I installed. I found them to be quite accurate with new sensors. On my Malibu, where the sensors are starting to drop out because of the batteries, the tire pressures of those still working are not accurate at all. I plan to remedy that next month when I install new tires. Based on what I have observed with the two cars, it seems when the batteries get weak the accuracy becomes questionable.
Do you know how the age of the sensors currently installed in the wheels?

If you're sensor batteries are degrading due to high mileage the shown pressure will differ from the real value, change the sensors by the right type for your vehicle

Have no idea of age of the sensors. Only have had car a year. Not really gonna worry about it. Not a daily driver and will check things before driving.

Pressure lower when ambient is colder---normal.
Sensor not accurate or no reading at all is normal when the battery is weak. I will be replacing the third one in my Escalade tomorrow. They usually are good for around 10 years.
