Default Oil Sender Relocation

My 99 FRC needs a new oil pressure sensor. While replacing it, I plan to install a relocation kit (extended ss tube to stock sensor location) to facilitate future replacements.

Does the stock wiring harness allow enough slack for the 14 inch long extended sensor tubing? Or is a wiring harness extension required, and if so, where do I find one?

No, not even close

And my personal opinion is that it's a waste of time. Pulling the intake takes me all of 20 minutes then cleaning and re-installation is ~1 hour, and my stock sensor went 90k miles before crapping out. So to put all that effort and cost just to save an hour every 90k miles seems a bit ...

A harness extension is not needed.

I posted links to the topic here.

I agree pulling the stock intake is not a big deal. I absolutely do not agree with those cutting the cowl. The relocation gets a more reliable sensor, I know of a couple that killed multiple OEM units, and further having a FAST I don't like torquing the intake down more times than I have to as they have been known to crack. If you piece out your own relocation it isn't that bad.

If you are stock and the OEM sensor lived a long time, make your own call.

I have to say I agree.. Pulling the manifold is really not bad at all.. Pulled mine in 30 mins, Just waiting on parts is what sucks... But I would never say do it if you don't feel comfortable doing it.. I pulled the oil sensor without pulling manifold and that was not bad either... I didn't want to put the relocate kit cause I thought that is more places to get a leak.. Once you can pull the sensor without removing manifold why bother with any mod for it... But that's just me... But either ways is not that bad at all...

Just my 2 cents...
