Default code? pcm

I get a code once in a while, 10-PCM P0101H.
That's for the maf sensor.
If it's H is there anything I should do?
With the check engine light on can I go for a mass inspection sticker/emission check?
I know I can clear the code but last time I tried for a sticker it wouldn't read.

Once you clear/reset the DTC, you will have to complete the required number of drive cycles before all the emissions related flags in the PCM will set to READY.

That's why you were unable to pass emissions last time. If you clear an emissions related DTC, disconnect the battery or have a weak battery, it will set the emissions flags to NOT READY.

You can go to Autozone and use their scanner to see if you have all the emissions flags set to ready before you go to the emissions station.

I got that one a couple of times last year. I carefully removed the MAF, cleaned it with CRC MAF cleaner, let it dry and reinstalled after replacing air filter. Light has not come back.

Appreciate the replies.
I didn't know you could check the codes with the engine running.
I have cleaned the maf before but I'll do it again and pay close attention to the connections. I would be surprised if it needs cleaning but certainly don't mind doing it again.
I do have a halltech stinger filter. I'll inspect that closely as well.

I installed a highly restricted WIX Air filter and shortly after installation, I got the 10-PCM PO101 code. Cleaned the MAF and still got the code. Removed the filter and replaced it with a new FRAM filter. Reset the code, and the code has not appeared since. Is the filter the problem? My SWAG says yes.
