Default My current codes:

Folks, I have the following codes in my DIC. the first 3 are H codes but I’m unsure what they mean.

The last 2 show up repeatedly, maybe on a monthly basis. I’m able to clear all of them but the fuel trim ones come back.

The last time the car was tuned (“Street Tune” at ECS) was about 4 years ago after I put in new plugs and wires, and I had the Hall intake.I was getting hesitation about a year ago and I was advised to go back to a stock intake and the hesitation was eliminated. Since that time is when the 2 Fuel system codes started appearing. Should I have it retuned or take it to a Chevy dealer to reflash the ECM? I’m in Northern NJ and and am very suspicious of Chevy dealers that can address this type of issue on an older Corvette. Thanks!

What, of the below could I repair/address myself?

B0851 Battery 1 Out of Range
B2262 Horizontal Position Sensor Fit

U1255 Serial Data Line Malfunction

P0172 Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1

P0175 Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 2

A Dealership that can’t diagnose a rich condition and it really shouldn’t matter if it’s a Corvette or a Cobalt really shouldn’t be in business. First off you’d need a scan tool and if not you are just going to be replacing a bunch of parts. You would be better off taking the car to a diagnostic shop and pay for the diag time...you’d be saving money...if you want to tackle this yourself you can make sure the air filter or MAF sensor is not dirty...pull the dipstick and smell the oil...does it smell like fuel ??...you can have a faulty ECT sensor, faulty O2 sensors, clogged PCV, faulty MAP sensor, leaky injectors, purge valve stuck open and there are a few others I might have missed.

A retune would be the place to start since ECS tuned it for the Hall intake or it maybe any of the things C5 diag listed

Which Hall intake did you have when the engine was tuned??.
Did that HALL cold air intake that you dad move the location of the MAF? If so and it was tuned with the MAF in a different location and you installed the OEM air intake which moved the MAF after the tune was done, the PCM really needs to be retuned before you spend a LOT of money trying to fix it. DO NOT let the dealer reflash the PCM as you will lose ALL the tuning data that ECS did. Just go back to ECS and see what they say. Talk to Doug or Chris and see if they can do some MAF tuning if necessary. On the other hand, there may be some other issue that you will have to address to fix the issue. They are the EXPERTS and will easily diagnose the issue. WAY better than any dealer can do!!.

Thanks everyone.
I had an early Hall Killer Bee intake bridge and filter that was very similar to a K&N.
I removed it due to advice from a close fried and former NCM official when I told him about hesitation and the aforementioned codes this past spring.
At that time, before I installed the stock intake , I got MAF cleaner and thoroughly cleaned it. I then reinstalled the stock intake with a new filter.
I’ve reached out to Doug and hope to hear from him soon. I have been a big booster of ECS and have sent many referrals was well as having them tune both my C5’s.
