that was solid advice if your not pretty technical. I've replaced discharge hoses and vacuumed a system so its doable yourself, but you could also get really hurt if for instance you open a valve to the high pressure side while adding refrigerant. That could cause the can to explode. Or you could put liquid refrigerant into the compressor and destroy the compressor. That's why you hold the can upright and let it suck out the gas. Dont turn it upside down and pour in liquid. It sounds electrical because your pressure wouldn't suddenly be too high unless someone added more. You don't know until you know.

No bother !!...you said you had no technical ability so why give diagnostic advise ??...your AC issue can be MANY things...let your shop or friend diagnose your issue !!...don't know what info you want from me ??
