how much horse power will a LS7 clutch, handle?..1999, frc....Thanks...........
I feel like this is a trick question. It is designed to support the output of the LS7 engine, so google that for your answer. If you want room to grow, choose an aftermarket clutch.
These are WELL known for handling 600WHP with ease, they will NOT do good on drag radials launching repeatedly at the track. I have one in my 2000 FRC with a cammed LS3 (525 flywheel hp) with a tick master and it drives like stock. I spent about $350 on the clutch and flywheel. I have went the aftermarket clutch route in the past and it was not a good experience. Heavy pedal, expensive, release issues, etc. Even if/when my LS7 clutch dies, ill definitely get another one.

I went with Textralia OZ700 when I did my Vortech. I'm at 530HP/500 lb ft TQ. It's been a great clutch as a driver and the strip. Just remember, everything you make stronger up front finds the weak link as the power transfers to the wheels. Plan on going through the torque tube. I also swapped out my differential with an RPM stage 3 unit with a 3.73. ......and a good set of drag radials.
