bad lugnuts
As it was, the lugnuts held up okay to easy driving, but a few laps at the track had them loose. I tightened them further to keep the wheels from feeling like they were wobbling. Tightening them cured that problem, but when I tried to remove the wheels to change brake pads, I broke off 2 wheel studs. I haven't yet looked close enough at the wheels to see if they were damaged. :reddevil
NAPA has the correct lugs (they had the wheel studs, too.) The base of the nuts are wider than the ones sold here. The price is comparable. :yesnod:

Can you please email me the details as I just purchased/installed a set and am concerned. Name, differences, required socket size for installation, etc... Thanks
I use a 13/16 deep socket on those lugs. They are metric 1.50. Nice looking lugs except the base isn't wide enough to seat the wheel. I should have been a little suspicious when a Z06 driver borrowed my socket (at the track) and it didn't fit his lugs.
I didn't ask for money back. I just considered it tuition in the school of hard knocks. Cheaper than some mistakes, for sure. I guess I'll be more upset if I find the wheels have been damaged. I won't take a look at them until the weekend.
I don't mean to complain, but I think I owe the guys on the forum a heads up. I have learned so much and saved alot just by reading the threads.

Your not doing any of us or your self any favors if you dont atleast do your best to get resolution. I would scream bloody murder and then some! Threaten to sue if your wheels are damaged! They say that they did not know!
Yea right!!!! :skep: :skep: Take a few digital pictures and send it to them! :cuss :mad
Post the photos on the forum!!!
Soon the word will get around and hell, you might get something out of it, If only satifisfaction atleast it's something!!

Wheww! Now I feel better!!!
Seriously, I would show them the problem and ask for restitution for the nuts and if the wheels are damaged, ask for repair of the wheels!
