Default BBK Throtle Body Question

I bought a used BBK 80mm throtle body. Does the original kit come with a gasket. If so does anybody know where I can get a new one?

Thanks

Yes it does come with a gasket. I had to get mine directly from BBK. I also needed the spacers to reposition the P/S reservoir. Got those from them also.

You could always get a piece of gasket material from parts store and cut it yourself ,its a simple gasket to make.

Yes, you need a gasket that goes between the adaptor plate and the throttle body. Making a new one is easy, but if you have the time, order one from BBK. You do not need a gasket between the intake manifold and the adaptor plate because there are o-rings on the intake side. I didn't need any spacers for the PS pump reservoir, the braket just needed to be bent out about 1/2" to make room for the TB.

Someone at an unnamed Dallas area Vette shop told me aftermarket throttle bodies were junk. Is there any truth to this? :lurk:

I just installed the throtle body. The gasket I was referring to was the one between the intake and the throtle body. The stock gasket worked fine and the car seems to be running better. It seems to have better accleration.

Thanks for all the input.
