C5 vetts can be strange beast! They get quirkey sometimes!! When mine acts up I disconnect the battery and let it set for a couple of minutes. This resets everything. That may be all it needs! My memory seats and mirrors act up every once in a while and I do the battery disconnect thing and they regain their sences! :thumbs:
I also have a 98 Coupe!

Just kidding! Always wondered if that message could some how be changed in the PCM. Have you had a reprogram lately?
Unless you have added too many "ricer" accessories and the computer detected it? :jester
