Looks like I won't be racing tomorrow or next week either :(
Been in St Louis all week and just today got around to changing out the shifter and taking a test drive....1/2 way into it, white smoke out the passenger tail pipe :(
Gonna pull plugs as soon as it cools down, but got up under the car and found this:
You really didnt expect everything to be perfect did you... A few tweeks here and there, and things will be fine.... I promise you these issues will be forgotten in the next month or so.. you have so much to look forward too.,...as for me... my next big thing will be death... cause Ive done it all , and IM old.. so think positive mark... :blueangel: :) :reddevil

That's all fine and well, but all my efforts over the last 3 weeks to get ready for the start of our season tomorrow are SHOT!!!....months from now are not what I'm focusing on now :(
Very sorry to hear about your breakdown... it is those type of things that can **** someone off the most :mad It is not all about the breakdown but the non participation at the track and not having the good time you were looking forward to that is upsetting as well. I hope you get it all fixed up quickly and get out to the track ASAP!! :) (see, I really do understand how you feel) ;)
mark, what is that???? a cooling line????
Wish I knew, all I know at this point is I won't be driving it to the race tomorrow, beyond that, I have a call into Ed at LPE....it's a waiting game now. Guess I have a really nice, f'ing expensive piece of garage art at this point :mad :smash:
I know but all 4 plugs (passenger side) are fine oil leaking from the turbo seal hitting a hot exhaust pipe would produce the same type of smoke, and it smells like burnt oil.
Crap!...that sucks big wrinkled turkey johnsons...for what it's worth I feel your pain about tomorrow... :cry ...not to worry though...the rest of the field is gonna need that spot we are giving them, come March... :reddevil :D
p.s. don't give up on next week so quick...it may be something minor...
Man, I saw your topic and was like..... "Uh-oh something BIG must be wrong". I sure hope it's something minor. I can soo clearly remember your earlier posts about the car, so proud & HAPPY!
Rest assured I'm certain you'll get back on track. Could it be a cracked weld @ the oil line to the turbo housing? Perhaps it's a quick fix with a welder?
Keep us posted & try not to get to down about this. Sucks yes, but you've got a great car there. :grouphug:
