LG vs. Kooks vs. Supermaxx
"Universe's Most Powerful Header", KOOKS.

Is their HP & TQ significantly lower, or are there some issues why they seemed to have dropped off the face of the Earth as far as guys using them now????
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I am still here in Sebring after our OUTSIDE POLE winning Corvette had to start last becasue we flatspotted tires after a hit by a slower car on my cool off lap. The rules say that you must start on the same tires that you qualify on. I had to change them so I had to start at the back of the field.
As for the LG Pro Long Tube headers? They were on the top 4 Corvettes in the race. Our headers were on My car which qualified over 2 seconds faster than last years pole time. The pole was taken by a Cadillac with a de stroked 427 with an ls2 90mm manifold and tb. I split the Caddilacs. I qualified 2nd on the outside pole, with the other cadillac in 4th.
3 of the top 10 cars were Corvettes, and they all had LG Pro Long Tube headers. Including last years pole Corvette, which switched from another brand header to the LG headers.
And don't forget that LG PRo Long Tube headers WON the "Clash" Corvette Shootout in SC!!!
The facts are out there. It is just that the internet has a way of skewing the truth.
GOTO : http://www.world-challenge.com/2004/...eb/gt-qual.pdf or http://www.sccapro.com and check out the World Challenge GT qualifying times, and all practice times, and you will see the results. I would expect that the cartek guys would leave out the facts.
Not one of the top Corvette teams in the World Challenge series would change from their LG Pro Long Tube headers to an other brand even if they were given to them free. They already had other brands on their cars last year, and took them off!
I would expect that a power adder all out drag racer could see some increase from a larger primary tube, but that is all. any other application that wants "Grunt" out of a corner, or off a stop light on daily driving, then the choice is obvious, and that is LG Pro long Tube headers.
Thanks guys,
Lou Gigliotti LG Motorsports

Thanks for the update. A lot of mud slinging has gone on in this Thread while you've been away proving the Pro LG LT Header System is the best. Good luck at Sebring. I look forward to bringing my C5 back up to your shop April 14th for the G5X-3 Cam Pkg. w/Comp 921 Dual Springs, Vig2800, and B&M Trans Cooler.
RULES! [Modified by Cary, 12:08 PM 3/20/2004]
I am still away, but here is the qualifying sheet
the top 4 Corvettes had LG PRo Long Tube headers.
Thanks

Wish you'd go back to the holiday special. $100 off & free s/h I believe it was? Then you might even be back in the race. I really like your headers' construction more than anything.
I know, I know...I sound like this guy ---> :cry But even that small amount makes a large difference in my book as to whose headers I'd consider because it would put yours that much closer to the other guys'. And please don't take this as a personal attack as I'd love a set myself...you're free to sell your headers at whatever price you want and I'm sure you must be selling them just fine at the current price level. I'm just saying how I, Joe Schmoe, personally feel on the subject of price. Just because we all own Corvettes, doesn't mean we all can afford to blow money like we own Corvettes
All of the headers are going to make good power over stock (and probably all will be within a few peak...curves will vary slightly depending on design, other mods, etc), it's just a matter of pricewars, names, and gimmicks.

You need to consider collector length and diameter when evaluating dyno-based header tests. The overall length from exhaust valve to X-pipe entry will give you a better indication of the RPM range for a header than just considering primary length alone. The Kooks' and the LGM's appear to have about the same overall length in the off-road configuration, but the primary/collector lengths are proportioned differently. I don't know much about the Supermaxx header/collector.
If you want an unbiased opinion about the header/collector sizes and lengths, you should sign up for and run the header design program on the HeaderDesign.com site. It's free for use by individuals, and for professionals conducting basic research. If you make money by using the program, you owe fees.

Tony is correct. We have lowered our price to match the Christmas sale price. The only thing that is missing is the free shipping. If any of you give us a call and order headers, I will split the shipping cost for you if you mention the Corvette Forum.
thanks guys.

We will put the LG Pro Long Tubes to the test again in the World Challenge series this week in Sebring Fl. Keep an eye on who has what headers and how well they do . http://leaderboard.vfx.com/SCCA/GT/LiveTiming_800.asp
Well Lou finished in 13th place at Sebring . The Caddilac CTS-V finished 1st and 2nd , I wonder who's headers they used ? Maybe Kooks ?

Have you ever thought about becoming a newspaper reporter? Seems like you don't get the facts straight. Lou posted why he came in 13th, "Hi Guys,
