I installed mine myself in the garage on jack stands along with 3" highflow cats and exhaust pipes.
Can't say how much power increase there is but SOP is about 30-40 hp. W/O tuning.
As far as installation is concerned, it's not the hardest I've done nor the worst.
My cost was about $1338.00 including all the bolts and gaskets, I spent a few bucks more and had mine electro-polished.
I think it's the other mod's and tuning that will make a bigger difference then the brand of header.
I have them on my car.....I got a great deal on the 1 7/8" Kook's from LAPD. Perfect fit, just droped the bolts in and they lined up with my exhaust....very well made product. Brent has tested them against 3 other popular headers....Kook's are on his car.
I've heard that mixed opinions on this. Brent w/ his 10 sec h/c cartek car runs 1 3/4ths. I think you'll gain some peake ponies while trading some torque. I know if I had a car with FI or big cubes I'd go 1 7/8ths. The Kooks guys say 1 7/8ths are fine!
The spin doctor, aka Speed Engineering and Dyno .com, is doing a GP on them for 1435 headers cats and x pipe. And he's a real good dude to deal with! I went with the 17/8, I think that's a LOT cheaper than LGs:cool: Kool
Hey spin, am I to ASSume that the bottom graphs were the pulls before the headers were installed, green line on the first pic, and red line on the second pic? Kool

Re: KOOKS headers..who has them (Y2KOOLVETTE)
Call MTI for the best pricing on these as they are running killer prices on a GP for all KOOK HEADERS in all sizes, etc. for about one more week!

I should be able to snap some this weekend. I'll be installing my third set of Kook's headers on Saturday. I've installed 1 7/8" on my car, and the 1 3/4" on a buddies car. Another 1 3/4" set going on another buddies car along with a H/C package..
This should be a great season for modded vettes in my area with 5 heads and cammed C5's rolling around :D We'll have some vids of all three of the Kook's equipped cars so people can hear em too, at idle and WOT..
mine: 1 7/8" Kooks, offroad, 3" pipes, Hooker exhaust (of course I'm partial to this setups sound :D)
