Well one could spend some time on a road race circuit. 20 to 30min at a time, 4 times a day for 2 days Speeds 130-150+ MPH in the 2500 to 4000 foot long straights, slamming on your brakes, and downshilf, 5th 4th 3rd to slow to 50-70 mph and take a hard left hander then back up to 4th and 115 mph, letting the throttle breath so you can take the esses at 110 mph with your nose barried in the tail of a 911 waiting for the next passing zone then, zoooooooooom THAT 911 IS TOAST.

Two minute laps with going though the gears and seeing 2000 to red line 5 or 6 time evey lap for 20 to 30 min at a time. WHOOAAAA I better slow down, my heart can only take that one weekend a month.

A whole new diffinition of Week End Warrior( racer)

Now thats racing

I have better things to do than hang out with the rice burners and the white trash that go to the drag strip. Track days or autoX.
This is not a good attitude, pretty uncool if you ask me

Only if you pull the drag shute at the end of the quarter . . . . .

Let the BIG DOG BREATH AND RUN ITS HEART OUT.

Oh did I mention about the almost 4 wheel slides around corners at 40 to 70 mph?? Then every time you get out of a corner your right foot gets planted to the floor to get you back up to 100 mph Plus?? Or passing Porsches and other ferrin cars??

I don't mean to offend anybody, but around here it's all it is. About 100 kids in rice rockets that turn 15's if they are lucky, and stuff that burns oil dumps coolant/oil/tranny fluid all over the track.

On a good night, you'll get 3 runs in.

I stick to the autoX and track days.

For what it's worth, just like the autoX and track days many of us Drag Racers run in the Corvette Challenge. This is an organized National Corvette only series. As for the other cars, they run during their events or during open test and tune sessions. Either way racing your Corvette is an enjoyable experience no matter which series you run.

Thats my point! Don't worry about breaking parts....it happens, but not often. These cars are AWESOME performers on road track or drag strip, so enjoy!
