Default Blackwing Question

I have a blackwing with about 13,000 miles on it. When does it have to be cleaned and is the indicator on it reliable.

Thanks for the help.

Default Blackwing Question

I've had my Blackwing for about 20,000 miles. My instructions say to clean at 100,000 miles, tho' more experienced users of this air cleaner may suggest it should be done more often.

Your eyes are more reliable. You can see if it is dirty just like with a stock air filter.

It's always better to depend on your own judgement, look it over. I clean mine on all my vehicles every spring, just as a preventative maintenance thing.

The heavy pollen in the spring cloggs filters up real quick and the dust and sand in the winter do the same! I clean mine in the late spring and late winter.
Twice a year for good measure!

Just finished doing mine yesterday for the first time since I put it on. Had it on for approximately 6000 miles and it was still fairly clean, but certainly needed to be shaken out. Since I had it off I went with the full clean and re-oil anyway.

Remember careful with the re-oils. Not to much.
