Default Help!! Car Cranks - Won't Start

I put this over in General Section by mistake.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Drove to town and back this morning with no problems. Got back into car 15 min. later and won't start. Cranks fine, just won't attempt to fire off.
I had my vortex filter off along with the air bridge and coupler earlier in the day. I've also just added a tach light recently which I hooked into the tach wire under drivers side dash.
The only other mod I have done lately was add a relay to my electric water pump to control it with a toggle switch with ignition off. I tied into the igniter wire in the mtr. compartment fuse panel for the water pump relay.
I've checked all the fuses and they are O.K.
Can anybody give me some other suggestions on what might be wrong?
I would really appreciate some help on this.

My girlfreinds 04 vert just did the same thing. She was driving the car last week it died twice on her. Last night we were out for a cruse and it also died on us. Several of our club members with with us so we tried many differnt things.

Finally, one of the guys said to pop open the fuel cover and then he opened up the gas cap. He then told me to turn the key to accessories. He listened and said he doesnt here the fuel pump. But on other cars we did.

So we think the fuel pump is out. The dealler will tell us Tuesday when they open.

Good luck

Jim

Its got to be a loss of one of the following:

Fuel

I have to ask "Are you sure you have fuel in the tank?"

You can remove the schrader cap off the end of the fuel rail , turn the ignition switch to on (That will turn the pump on for a few seconds and charge up the fuel rail) and depress the little valve stem inside of the schrader valve. If you have fuel and pressure that part of the equasion is solved.
If you have pressure, you need to check to see if your injectors are firing. I use a long flat blade screw driver. Hold the blade end on the body of one of the injectors and put the other end to your ear and have someone crank the engine. If the injector is firing you will hear a "CLICK" noise each time the injector is pulsed to squirt fuel.

or

Spark
The spark is easy to check! Remove one of the sparkplug boots on the spark plug. Stick a screwdriver in the boot and hold the metal shank about 1/4" from a metal engine ground.

Please check the codes and see if you have any. Clear them and see if they return.

Please check all of this and let us know how you make out.
