Extra 400.. My total header install was only $300. The Dynatechs fit like a glove.

lou you are absolutely correct there are countless variables. The reason I cite my car is that it is in fact so consistant run to run.,> I log every run as well as all conditions including humidity, wind, temp, barometer, DA etc and given equal conditions and almost exact 60' times I was able to compare mods. I would put a mod on, tune it then go to the track, If the mod gave me nothing all other things being equal they come off the car.. Which is why the ls6 intake and rockers were pulled off my car after going to the track. Like EB stated, i dont race a dyno, I race on the track vs. other cars. You really cant argue w/ my results w/ my dynatech headers thats for sure. EB is also correct in that a dyno is not meaningless by any means, but ive beat many a 500 RWHP car at the track. Either they make crazy HP and little torque, they have a crap torque curve, they make all that power up top or they just cant drive. I can pretty confidently tell you based on timeslips ive analyzed, the LG headers are no better in the 1/4 mile regardless of what the dyno may show. There is more variable in weather and driver then there are from header to header, so id spend the extra money on driving lessons or tires before id consider spending it on a more expensive header. Just my .02.

Oh and aside from price, the fact its stainless, the main reason i did buy the dynatechs was because they bolt up w/ no welding to my stock cat back..

Dave

Just as a correction, they are currently $1,700 for the entire system, including the RT X-pipe and Cats. No need for SIMs, so from a cost standpoint they are in the hunt. Not as low cost as the Kooks or the Dynatechs, but they also require more labor in fabrication due to the Tri-Y design as I am sure that the LG's additional cost has something to do with fabrication as well, as the collector design and the additional pipe bends for the longer tube length increases time and labor for fabrication. Also, I am not sure of the Dynatech Cat material (metal matrix?) but that may also factor into their cost structure.
