Default Seems like LOST POWER after headers ??

So I just finished installing some TTS long tubes, and after all this I think I may have lost some power, the car feels differnt but not faster!
Ive got these other mods
Haltech Stinger intake
MTi ported/polished TB
LS6 intake manifold
magnaflow xpipe
b&b exhaust

What gives... did i do something wrong?? did I forget something??
I was thinking that car would fly after the header istall

Any info is much appreciated

Thanks guys!

Assuming that you hooked everything up right, the car could be running rich or lean after the header install.

Tuning might be necessary to get the maximum benefit out of your new headers. The big gains after headers you hear about are usually after some degree of tuning.

Good luck and congrats on the header install

I just installed the LG LT Headers and my car isn't running right either. But mine feels like it missing. Maybe a spark plug or a wire. My brother in law hooked up his computer and it said I have a mis-fire in the 2nd cyclinder and it also had some other codes we didn't know what they were. So I'm taking my car to Specter Werkes Wednesday. We checked the wires and spark plugs but they all seem ok. When I have the car floored it runs fine but when I'm below 3,000 rpms it runs like s_it. My brother in law said he thinks its running lean. I also have to drive my car 45 minutes to Specter Werkes so this should be fun.

Check your O2's! I bet you have them hooked up to the wrong side. Its a very common mistake. They have to be hooked up to a specific side or the car with sputter.

After my install the car was very noticably faster. It was night and day seat of the pants feel. Plus tuning did help later on.

Thanks. I've heard that a million times now. We have a rotory lift at my dads so we checked that a bunch of times now. The wires are all going to the same side. They are all on the right sides unless the o2 simulators are assigned to a specific side then I might have to switch them. If it dosn't matter which side you put each o2 sim. then I'm lost or I just need a good tuning.

Check and post your codes, Check your air bridge and MAF connections for an air leak and double check your plugs and wires. I had a dead miss under heavy throttle. Here is what I found:

Each wire should read between 250 - 750 Ohms if you have OEM wires.

With LG's, you should have moved the rear O2 sensors to the foward position in the collectors (put aside the front O2 sensors - you no longer need those) and then plugged O2 simms into the plugs that the rears were using. The plugs for the rear sensors don't fit those that go on the front sensor connectors so you need the adapters that allow the rears to plug into the front sensor connectors. Also, the rears are crossed when the get to the h-pipe in the stock setup but this changes with the LG's. Now, the left O2 connects to the left front O2 connector using the adapter and the right O2 connects to the front right O2 connector using the adapter. If your sensors are plugged into the wrong connectors, your car will run like crap.

I believe we did all that. We went over the LG instructions like crazy. The wires and the 02 are on the same side and we did get rid of the front o2 sensors. I'm suppose to take my car to Specter Werkes this week but I'm wondering if I should take it to APE instead. They are both about the same distance but Specter Werkes is probley easier to get to. Like ClarksZ06 said, if everything is hooked up right and you didn't damage any plugs and or wires (Bill Curlee) your car should run like a breathing beast! I have wimpy by todays standards FLP's with strait pipes and my car screams to the red line! 6700 conservative

I do not think tuning is your problem, it may squeeze out a few more hp for you but I would look elsewhere first.

I made 337rwhp 351 torque after headers with no tuning. It was noticeably faster immediately after the install. The PCM will learn itself -- I don't feel tuning is worth it until you do a cam or more.

Check your wires to make sure you did not melt any of them. If it hesitates bad when you step on it, this is most likely your issue. What wires are you running?

Like its some big surprise... Just because you don't know what a good wheel is. You think i'm going to stop using the corvette forum because of your past BS. Every board has someone like you on it, its not something new. I'm not going to let some quack off the board stop me from getting info. and giving it. Not to mention the 4 great transactions i've had since your whining.

You are a rip off artist, and trust me, anytime I have the opportunity, I'll make sure anyone you deal with knows it as well. The only clown you had on your side was one guy, also in Indiana. Go figure. Probably you next door neighbor. Everyone else saw you for who you really are. You should be ashamed to show your face around here. But of course you have no shame, nor morals or scruples. I know your young, so take the time to look those up in the dictionary. The CF community is far better off without your kind lurking around.

Well if anyone wants to do a search then they can and all they will find is good things, except for our disagreement.

I may be only 24 and maybe thats still a young punk to you? But at least I have enough class to be honest.

Thanks.
