After looking at my options I ended up with 2 choices.
Infiniti G35 vs the C6

I know these are somewhat different kind of sports cars but I'm not just looking into power but styling/ quality also?!

Now from my point of view the infiniti g35 is a very well designed pice of machinery. I almost gave up on Domestics due to the fact that my deville had plenty of electrical problems. Not to mention its "northstar 32valve V8 motor" thats supposed to be so godly took a SHlT on me at only 40k. Then came the suspencion problems and interior started to crack down! IT WAS ONLY A 99 w/ 60k on it ...and my P.O.S. 1982 mercedes turbo disel 300sd Was kept outside for years and has perfect leather no cracks rips and is driven daily 80 miles. ahh makes me mad to even think!!!!

Anyhow my point is ... How reliable is a 400 hp loaded beast really.
I only take out my car on weekends and I like flashy nice things. Both of these cars have great styling even though the G35 is more of a Luxury/sports coupe and the vette is more of a true sports, sports car.

Now my question is.. has anyone owned both and can someone tell me the difference as far as BANG for the BUCK. also QUALITY RELIABILITY VALUE. All that good stuff.. I am affraid to buy domestic cars cuz that damn deville. I understand those V6 300 hp motors have their first major service at 105k!!!!! They have good reliable reviews that ive heard of and I don't know much of the quality of the GM"s please some input.

I appologize for the long post and my grammer english is my 3rd and last language learned =) Damn europeans lol maybe i should stick to my bmw or mercedes heh
NO SOUP FOR YOU . NEXT !

mann o mannn did not expect so many replys!! thank you everyone i am starting to love this forum!!!
Now I know the G35 is not in the same category I have mentioned it but one of my main concearns is .. durability of just everything. I know that the vette will murder the g35 in a race no doubt but in the end ... how reliable is the car? I know I'm in a vette forum and I think I have gotten some very Fair answers. Thank you all.
Just one more question how much does the vette w/ the z51 pck end up being after taxes and all? and whats the apr you guys got on it? I will go haggle but I want to know what to shoot for.

I said it before, the best of both worlds would be to have GM engineer the Vette and let Infinity build it...SWEET..

Are you nuts - drive the C6 Z51 & then take a ride in the G35. Like a big block 67 compared to a Datsun 210.

My wife has a 03 G35 coupe and I have a C6 with the 1SA package and 315 gears. The G35 front brakes for the 2003 year wear out very quickly so we received a letter from Infiniti that we can replace ours free up to 36,000 miles. I have had no problems with my New Corvette other than wanting to drive it all the time.

You may want to check the NHTSA web site and look for TSB's and the recall histories of each car. I would recommend that you check in with one of the forum dealers. I ordered mine from Dave at Kerbeck

Dude you heard wrong.... very wrong.. G35 does not have better handling - one can argue it doesnt even come close to the C6....

As for modding the C6 youll be suprised how many peeps mod their vettes - the diff is you dont see a lot of body mods - mainly under the hood and subtle... prob the opposite of most G35 mods

You are comparing a 35k 4 seater with a 50k 2 seater.

Fit/finish, quality and the ability to haul 4 people go to the G35.

Raw power and performance go to the C6.

Buy what is important to you.

Default In my opinion...

I think if you are even comparing these two cars,

You would be happier with the G35 in the long run.

I have an 2004 G35 and a C6. I really don't care for the G35 at all. I can't seem to get comfortable in the seat. I'm always moving it up, down, tilting it...never the right spot. The heated seats also are not as warm as the Vettes. The steering column doesn't tilt down far enough. I could go on and on. Buy the C6...you'll love it

I guess there would be ppl with the same opinion, just reverse, it just depends, I think if at all the GTR comes out with enuf power and in the price range slightly higher than the vette, it would be considered a perfect car in the region...

As others have said, totally different animals. Have to prioritize regarding whats paramount, and make your choice from there!
