Couldn't agree you more on this one. Wife and I both paid for everything we have or done, including the wedding 22 years ago, cars, houses, vacations and such. I've seen too many silver spoon kids (not all of them) getting Vets, Trans-Ams, Vipers, houses, other large ticket items and just destroying them in a short matter of time. The wife and I are strong believers that you will appreciate something you work and pay for yourself.
I put 1 daughter through college (my youngest) with dgree. My oldest daughter went one year. Both were told, make good grades, do what you're supposed to do and dad and mom pays. My oldest thought it was play time for a year and wasted dad's money. At 26 she is now going back to college but she pays this time.
thanks for not writing tickets, most cops see you come around the corner and you can count on them following you. Love my C6, the best one I ever owned! Too bad you dont have an Autobahn over here!
I sell commercial printing. Mainly P.O.P. (Point Of Purchase). My two biggest accounts are McDonald's and Borders Books. Go into either of those places and look at all the signs in there and that's what I do.
"Judge your success by what you had to give up to get it."
Always liked that motto.
I own a small telecommunications firm. I have a 2, 7, and 9 yr old. Wife and I just bought a 6k sq ft house a few years ago and a building for my business last year. No 'vette for me yet because I'm not willing to buy it on my line of credit.
Maybe later this year after I sell more crap I don't need on ebay
In the meantime - if anyone has a business in Minnesota that is moving or needs a new phone system - call me!
Wife and I both retired military. It's been 14 great years of being fully retired. Children finished college and have been long gone from the nest.
Two Corvettes,2600 sq ft home, two family cars, pickup truck, and 16 acres. All ours. No banks or mortgages. Best of all we get senior discounts at the resturants. Life is good.
