Default I sure wish.......

............the one that I got would have worked in my 07 c6 but it kept doing crazy stuff. I had no problem getting a refund, but I sure liked thye functionality. I wish the manufacturer would do somethingwith the pin size so that grounding on all C6's was good and dependable. I'd love to buy another one!

If I remember correctly, it was not the pin size....but rather that some of the new 07's had a protective film on the pins that had to be worn off to make good contact. I thought we got yours to work after popping it in and out a couple times? Was that not right, or did you still have problems?

See ya,

Jim

That is the way it is on most Vette's. Some of the late 07's have had a protective film in the OBDII pins that needs to be rubbed off so the valet can make good contact.

99% of the time, everything works without a hitch....

Thanks,

I am still a bit confused on the silencing of the horn when raising and lowering the window. Did you say there was a way of doing this?

Yes, you ca turn it off in the DIC settings...I do not remember the menu tree for the c6 but it is under the security piece. Has nothing to do with the valet. Called something like alarm set audible alert or something like that.

Jim,

Is this a "new & improved" version or have all or have all the features listed on page one always been included in your product? If so, what visual clues would I look for (i.e. Rev. No. or date on module)?

I was considering purchasing a used vallet, could I be missing out on a warranty & upgrades?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

No, as long as you buy the one for the C6 all of the features listed above would still be the same. You can probably pick one up used for $120 or so...

If you get tired of searching, I will hook you up for a few bucks more and free shipping.

Thanks,

Jim

Received Valet last week and installed it right away (and all by myself) . Works great. I so far have only used the wimdow up and down features, but what I do like is the venting feature so that heat buildup is lessened as the car sits.

Thanks

I had the Window Valet on my C5 and thought it was a great product. Considering it for my 2008 C6. Has anyone installed it on an '08 yet? Any issues?

Thanks...Gene...
