Z51
NPP Dual Mode Exhaust
846 Two Tone Titanium
QG7 Forged Polished Wheels
C2L Dual Roofs

Due to MA RMV regs (and the type of plate swap I want to do) I cannot put a plate on the car and drive it home until the Certificate of Origin arrives this coming week. I went to see Tommy Jr. to actually buy the car today and get the RMV form I need for my insurance agent. I also obviously went to see the car in the new color!! The car was in an indoor storage area so I was unable to get shots in the sun (those will come mid week when I take it home). I did take shots with my Olympus C-4000Z, some with flash and some without. The CCD in this Olympus tends to go a bit orange with brightly illuminated reds, the car has no orange in it.

The Crystal Red looks great in person, just like the 89U Lucerne as far as I could tell out of the sun (especially evident in the flash pictures of the fuel door and driver's door below). Please note that the car has not yet been prepped after transport from BG. Already watched the DVD, time to sit down with the owner's manual and enjoy!

Great color! Mine is coming in soon through Tim Boone at Boardwalk Chev in Redwood City Ca. There was a listing on the CF regarding a CR vert with "flaw" in the paint only seen in the sun. Let us know what you think of the paint job in sun light. I hope it looks as great as it does now (indoors)!

Congrads.

Sure thing! My Olympus C-4000Z is the cause of the orange caste from what I've seen. I can take some shots this week with a C-8080Z and/or a high quality Fuji 6MP SLR camera to see which gives the truest representation of the color.

Lets see... I think its called the TR-6060......

Got to start the car but not drive it yesterday. Shifted the tranny through the gears in place and it felt great. Nice short, precise throws. Cannot wait to feel it on the road! That transmission was my main reason for the 08 wait.

Default Thanks for all the great comments!

Just wanted to say "thanks" for all the great comments. I saw that a couple of posters mentioned that this really helped them decide on Crystal Red for their 08s. I've learned so much here in the last two years, its great to be able to pass on useful info to other members.

The pics in the sun will come the day I get it home!

I really noticed the imporvements on my shifter after about 1,000 miles. At first, I didn't think the difference from my '05's was that great. But with almost 1,400 miles on it now, I can say that I think the shifting is greatly improved. GM did a great job with the steering and shifting refinement of the '08s.

Saw a CR Vert in the full sun as well as in partial shade at a dealership yesterday. It was fantastic. All the photos on the CF don't do the color justice.

You are going to love it in the sun!

Congradulations.
