???? AM I CRAZY ???
No - you are smart! I have a weather gadget on my laptop as well as a link to the NWS. I check it all the time
Do you nut jobs also check for bugs to make sure you don't run into any, do you drive looking up affraid of birds, they may drop on you , you know, do you call the citty sweeper to make sure they sweep the road in you town before you go out?..........Is a CORVETTE is americas finest, treat as such, not like some import thats going to get rusty after a couple of rain drops..... sorry guys thats just me, I drive it like Its stolen , rain or shine!!!
I drive in the rain if I have to, but not if I can avoid it. I took my C5 on a trip from south Florida to Atlanta, Ga last year and I got a lot of love bugs on the front. While my wife was saying hello to our hosts I was washing the car.
I do the same - but it's just normal behavior for me. I cycle quite a bit and also waterski - two activities MUCH more fun in dry weather. My wife and I have a "72 hour rule" - if it's been within 72 hours since I detailed her car she drives one of our "beaters" until the rain has passed.
OK so mine's a Daily Driver, I check the weather so I know how to set the traction control.. What are you saving her for? Her next husband! Take her out, drive her, put her away wet, and clean her up when the sun is shining!!!
From: Greater Detroit Metro MI, when I'm not travelling.
The garage queens on this site really crack me up!
Its been raining torrentially here in NJ and I still put 50+ miles a day on mine... Its just a car; do you really think it won't devalue if you leave it in the garage when its wet out?
