Default When Do You Pump

Especially with gas prices the way they are now, when do most like to fill up? When it's down to 1/4, 1/2, or for psychological reason's . . 3/4.

And also, does it seem to have better performance and pep at a certain level in the tank?

I usually pump when it is down to 1/4, and I have not noticed any performance differences.

Usually between 1/2 and 1/4. It would make sense that it would be a little quicker the emptier the tank due to less weight but it would take a time slip to show it.

When it is below 1/4 just like I always have on any car. No difference in performance I notice with a full or empty tank.

Normally when it hits 1/4, I'm filling up. I made the mistake of leaving work yesterday and on the way home, I heard a noise but never looked at the DIC. A little farther down the road I looked down and saw "Low Fuel" and started to sweat it. I remember reading on here that it comes on around 10% left. At least that's what MY brain remembered. I figured I was good for at least another 30 miles which would have gotten me home but I found a gas station and whipped in. Whew! That last little bit goes quick.

Never less than a quarter. I like to keep the fuel pump cool. I've seen a few fried from running empty.

Somewhere between 1/2 to 1/4 usually on the way home from wherever (work - scenic). Like to start the next ride with a full tank.

I don't wait until I'm sucking fumes. I'm most likely to fill-up when it's between 1/4 and 1/2 and when it's most convenient for me to do so.

Re-fueling in the cooler temperatures of the early morning is best although I don't necessarily follow that practice.

It's not always easy to notice a performance difference on the race track but less weight is best.

I like to keep it above a quarter-tank, I really don't care what it is going to cost to fill it because I have no choice...

I fill up weekly or when the tank is at 1/2. I work at a hospital; we are not supposed to let the gas tank go below 1/2, so we can respond in the event of an emergency.

I fill mine back up when it's at about a 5/8 - 1/2 a tank. Strangely enough, the car gets the best MPG when I keep it full or close to full.

Since a tank of gas may last me a couple months I wait until it gets below 1/8. That way I can get as much fresh gas in as possible.

I don't let it go below 1/4 around town, but on a trip out of state I had the low level warning come on a couple times. If you are on major interstate and there are a lot of stations I find myself looking for the best posted prices on the billboards, even if I have to stretch it.
