My car was 90 days old when I was rear ended by a guy doing the look over the shoulder routine. While we were waiting on the cops, he saw the blind spot mirrors on my vette and remarked that his uncle had suggested he get some. Too late.
I find them extraordinarily useful, particularly in when heavy traffic merge situations. You'd be surprised how often it saves your butt.
A definite must have item. I get the little "fisheye" style mirrors and put them on the outer edge. Ive seen way to much stuff happen to people in blindspots, yeah they may be a small eye sore, but its a tiny mirror. who cares.
i've had six vettes and everyone has had the little 2" round mirrors on the outside edge of the mirror.... no blind spot and you don't have to do any leaning or stretching to make sure you're clear....
Has anyone ever thought about putting small blind spot mirrors on their side mirrors? I never would, just make sure I double check, when changing lanes. It seems like there is a big blind spot on my vert.
You could always get those 5 or 6 panel wink mirrors they used alot in the 70's.
I know its crazy, but I shoulder check before making a lane change...you know...the thing we were tought when learning how to drive. My opinion is save your money and your cars good looks and re-learn.
I know it's crazy, but a good blind spot mirror will actually show you what is beside your car.
When I'm accelerating onto the freeway, I check the rear view, then the side view, then the blind spot. I then change lanes. I trust my mirrors so that I don't have to turn my head to check my blind spot.

they were on my car when i got it, took them off, there are no blind spots on a vert
Sorry guys, but I associate those little mirrors with white Buick LeSabres and Florida tags being driven by ancient geezers wearing plaid hats and Depends adult briefs. So maybe they are a sign of wisdom?
Here's the alternative to mounting camper mirrors on the fenders of your Vette. As mentioned there is no blind spot if the mirrors are adjusted correctly.
Look in your inside rear view mirror to see cars approaching on your left. Adjust the driver side view mirror such that as the car on the left is passing you, they leave your rear view mirror and immediately enter your side view mirror. As the car leaves your side view mirror they enter your peripheral vision. The wide view mirror on the passenger side can be adjusted to just barely see the side of your car and it will serve the same purpose. Adjusting the driver's side view mirror so you can see down the side of your car is useless.
My '07 Silverado has something called curb view in the side view mirror. When the vehicle is put in reverse, the mirror turns down so you can see the curb and the lines in the parking space you are backing into. When put in drive it returns to the normal position. I like that and wish the Vette had the same feature.

I see what you are saying but I thought it was something like you lean over to the middle of your car and adjust from that angle.

Nope. Just sit in your normal driving position and adjust the mirrors accordingly. Your height or seat position doesn't matter.

With all these people who don't know how to adjust their mirrors and think the C6 has a blind spot somewhere, I believe there is a great opening for some enterprising forum vendor. How about a Studio 54 mirror ball that hangs from the regular mirror?
If any of you think the blindspot is bad on the new Corvettes and it isn't that bad try driving any of the 68 to 72 Corvettes. You take your chances there.
The thing is with any Corvette new included it's difficult to park have to watchout for curb rash and can't see your front or back end when parking between two cars.

I have my mirrors adjusted correctly, but still have 2" round spot mirrors on the outer edges.
There's too many Idiots that will ride in your Blind Spot because they have no awareness.
The spot mirrors I have swivel in place and adjusted them down and in towards the body.
Now I can still see the blind spot "Better" and, .. see my rear tires when backing up next to a curb,
