Pulled over
I haven't seen product on Corvette Guys website or ever been there before.
The quality of the remote one is fine. I don't know about the manual version but if it is anything like remote version minus wires and receiver & antenna depending on how you use front plate the manual version would be fine too.
I use the remote version if I feel that a driveway or curb may scrap the front plate.
Take note: Even though the plate is retracted some of the hardware is still exposed and if you hit a curb or bump bad enough I am sure you will destroy this unit and front plate (retracted or not) but that would have to be a very extreme hit. I have had no problems with this.
Also if you get right up to it you can see some of the hardware is visible when the plate is retracted. Some of this maybe less noticeable depending on color of your car and angle especially if you are close up front if you want to get picky but it does serve its purpose fine.
It can only be positioned on the side closest to battery unless you modify it. I don't think this set up is made for Z-06 Corvette.
The front plate in down position looks fine when installed like this near battery per instructions.
It doesn't affect what little air comes in front (C-6 is a bottom feeder) when plate is down. Having known this if the manual version is exact same hardware minus the wire hookup the manual version would be adequate especially if you leave the plate down all the time no need to spend extra $$$$ on remote. You then wouldn't have to mount it on battery side then unless again as previously mentioned you modifiy the remote version.
In any event if you don't like it they have a money back guarantee on this product.
