There are also other GM models DVD's that are compatible with the Corvette navigation radio.

The navigation DVD is compatible with the following GM models:

2005-2010 Cadillac STS
2005-2010 Corvette
2005-2008 Grand Prix
2005-2009 Saab 9-5
2005 Olds Bravada

Of course the older models will also be the older navigation DVD so be aware when you purchase if you go this route.

Can 05 owners purchase just the latest version Nav disk or do we have to buy them all to get completely updated?

Great question. You can buy just the latest. The discs are completely self contained and don't actually update anything on the radio, it is all in the data on the disc. The newest disc will have the latest information and all the prior information that was still relevant. You can jump from a 2005 to a 2010 disc and have all the same information.

Anyone know where I can get a european nav dvd? It looks like the only option I have is to go to the dealer in Germany and pay 200 euros for it.

Default nav disc

I have a 05 and currently thave 1 disc (ver.1) that is in the dvd slot all the time. If i buy version 5 or 6, it comes with 2 discs. So my question is do i have to keep switching between disc 1 and disc 2 to use the nav? Thanks,
BART

No, one dvd for east usa and canada, the other for west us and canada.

Unless you in Frisco and commute to NYC, you won't be changing much.

FWIW, the Mazda 3's nav DVDs are also compatible with the C6 (as well as vice versa).

Default 2010 Nav disk upgrade

I logged onto the gmnav site on Wednesday morning, the 2010 was still not available. Logged on again in the evening and the site indicated the 2010 was available but I would have to go on a waiting list to get it so I registered. Checked the site on Friday and was able to order the 2010 upgrade with no problems. Hopefully it will work OK because they make a big point of making you agree there are no refunds on the upgrade disk.

I called Monday morning and got an email from Helm saying that the correct disc set (Item: 2010 Corvette/Grand Prix/9-5/STS Navigation Disc Item number: 20861474) shipped Tuesday.

East and West. And, yes, there is overlap of the Mississippi region.

As noted, from version 4.0 on the navigation data is broken out in to two disc sets, an east disc and a west disc. Here is how the POI data is split between the two discs. The numbers you see on the map are the region numbers as defined by the navigation system.

Does anyone know if a 2010 Cadillac Escalade version 8.3 will work in the C6? I can pick one up cheap.
