Here's some 2008's in you area for about the same money. They did quite a few improvements for 2008.

My guess is there's not much more than 5K diff between 05 through 08 with similar options and mileage.

You may consider traveling some distance for a better price. Just took a quick look on "Vettefinders.com" and saw a black 07' 2LT, MN6, Z51, car with 10k mi, extended warranty in New Jersey for $33,300. The long distance thing really isn't a problem, as you can easily run the vin, and usually get a fellow local forum member to check it out for you.

Those are good prices but he is looking for a Yellow Vette.

Keep searching.

I am considering other colors, namely Red and maybe Blue. Yellow is the preference though. Also I'm looking for MN6. Have had an auto for way too long now.

If you are willing to travel a little you might do a little better on price. Here's an 06 Z51 for with less than 14k miles for $33950.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-OWN...f27057b4#v4-31

OR maybe an 05 F55 with 24k miles for $27900.00
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...item3eff0bcfbf

One is in Arlington TX and the other is in Dallas which is maybe 25 miles away. You can either get a year newer for roughly the same money or go apples to apples and save about $4000.00 ( $3000.00 if you buy a plane ticket and hang out in Texas for a few days, before you drive home.)

Default How about this '05?

2005 C6 Corvette Coupe, MN6, 1SB, Z51, Victory Red, Competition Grey Wheels, 31K Miles

Mods:
Callaway Honker Cold Air Intake
E.T.P. 225 CYL. HEADS
L.G.Motorsports Long tube headers 1 and 3/4" diameter (42" primaries into 3" merge collectors)
L.G.Motorsports Cam 232/240 112 lope .595/.608 lift
Roller Timing Chain Rocker Stands
Machined Valve covers
Chromoly Pushrods
B&B Z06 Bullets Exhaust full 3" diameter from merge collectors to the exhaust tips. Exhaust tips are 4"
MTI Racing Plug Wires
160 Degree Thermostat
Exedy Twin Plate Clutch and Light Weight Flywheel Elite Tunnel Stiffener
Dyno tuned

The mods have 15K miles.

$33,000.00

BTW: This is for sale by an individual (no 7% sales tax). That would be the equivalent of $30.8K at a dealer.

Both are priced to high! In August of last year I bought my 06, LT3 with nav A6, F55 with 28k miles and a 7 year 100k extended warranty on it for $29,800. It's a buyers market out there keep looking.
However, I did have to drive from TX to WI to buy the car.

Yeah, I'm "trying" to avoid that long distance purchase.

I saw an 08 ZHZ on autotrader for $29k. Ok, I know there's a bunch of folks that aren't ZHZ fans, but that's their opinion. Someone looking at 05s at that price should take a look.

There are pretty regular posts that tout the `05 models as a great value in the C6 line. Each year, the car gets better and better with more power and better features- so as a general rule, buy as new as you can afford.

But as an early 05 owner- car delivered Sept 2004- mine's been virtually problem free as have many, many others. That said, those coupes with 25-30 k miles in very good condition should be priced well under $30 IMO.

I got the 2005 with F-55 option because the roads are in terrible condition here so this option will be good for that and is a good safety option-See www.CorvetteAuctionCenter article driving over a pot hole at 80 mph. After reading this I decided F-55 option is for me.

The factory tires on the Z-51 wear out fast and for me that isn't my type of driving. I would say it depends on your style of driving if you want comfort and have the worst beat up roads get F-55.
If you are going to track the car or drive those turns real hard then Z-51.
I have close to 35,000 miles and I'm still on original tires lots of tred left and on original battery. Had them checked by two shops both said not to replace battery.

Anyone know how much these mods are worth and how "worthwhile" the mods are?

Per glr's posts, there's no way to tell what these options are worth unless you take two exact same cars, one with and one without those mods, and sell them at the same time. After all, only sold (not asking) prices are true determinants of what a car, or a car with options is worth. I know what I would pay for those used modifications, and I have a good idea of what most people would pay for those used modifications, but that won't wash here on this thread---only actual, verifiable, facts.

What do you think they are worth to you?

I hear ya, it's like selling a house with a swimming pool. If the buyer likes the house but could care less about the swimming pool, then the pool is worth nothing to the buyer.

I don't pretend to understand what each of these mods are. Seller states in email they were chosen for sound and efficiency with some extra performance side effects. I'll have a phone call with him soon and get those exact details. Just thought some might be familiar with what these are. So it's hard to say what they are worth to me. I guess presently, other than "sound" enhancement, they're not worth much.

I have a VR '05 MN6 Coupe LS1. Had DBS, Solved with reflash (done twice) and an Optima batt. Oh yeah it is a Z51 with 18500 mi.
My dealer was going to give 25K on it as a trade and said he would probably sell it for 28 to 30. If I were to sell it myself 28K sounds about right. From what I see from other sources comparing my car to others out there for sale supports that. I haven't done an in depth search but have been keeping an eye open for a friend who is interested in a '05 or '06. I've only seen a couple out there in that price range. Thats PA though.
