2012 model year
If the 560 HP engine from the CTS-V was to be available in the GS, that would be great and a great upgrade but even though it will be in the 2012 Camaro, the Corvette appears to be "left at the altar" again

An interior upgrade, which everyone is tired of hearing of would be a plus, but that won't happen either till 2014 or whenever the "transitional" C7 is released. In my search for just the right car (thanks again Jeff Hardy) I heard an interesting story from a small dealership who had a lonely leftover 2010 Corvette-the internet sales guy said they were stuck buying this $74,000 MSRP car or they would not be given allocation on Malibus, Impalas and other meat and potatoes Chevys. This is 180 degrees opposite to the way it used to be in that Corvettes used to be the reward to dealers for selling lots of basic cars, they were rewarded with a Corvette allocation-according to him now the punishment is having to order a Corvette to get the vehicles that can be sold
That tells the story of what GM has let happen to a great brand via benign neglect.Anyway, the Corvette is still unique in the U.S and remains a great value, even if the depreciation rate is stunning, and I hope it manages to continue on in production at BG even with the 5000 or so (180 days) stock 2009, 2010, 2011 units in dealerships
