OK I'll ask. What say you the great forum guru's. What will be new for the upcoming model year? Color, horsepower, new accessories, upgrades, standard features included? What? What? What? I'll go mad waiting!

Follow the yellow brick road, then ask the man behind the curtain, so far he's the only one who knows.

1 or 2 new exterior colors, probably at the expense of 1 or 2 existing colors. Some minor electronic gadgets. Nothing major.

To late in the C6 run..engineering efforts geared towards C7. Minor tweets and maybe a few changes that may hint towards items that will show up on the C7. But radical changes -- no...they will not really add to the C6 parts bin and resulting update of repair info, inventory to maintain etc.

Heck-I think many would be happy if the 2009 and 2010 Sema CG Accessories actually were produced and sold..... (GS and Jake parts).

Hmmm way back machine....last big 'tell' at the end of a model run...C1 in 1962 with the C2 rear styling.

Bold Prediction: The Z51 option will return for the base coupe.

You-heard-it-here-last: Caravaggio seats will be a dealer-installed optional accessory.

I bet the color green debuts. I've always said we would see a green before the C7 so this could be the final yr (2012) for the C6.

The '61 & '62 both had the changed rear styling.

I'm thinking a few new electronic goodies but not much of anything else. The C-7 is just around the corner.

no more base coupes/verts for 2012; only GS coupes/verts, Z06s, and ZR1s.

Default Question?

The worry of what the 2012 or 2013 is going to be. Is this a disease that worries the current corvette owner. Will I go crazy thinking I need to change and buy another or could I be worryless and enjoy what I have. What am I missing. I see so many threads on discussion about what the future holds. Will this bring value to the current vett we own or is this more of a curiosity thingy. If you were to ask me I would like a vett with more than the base HP for less money. tks

C1--327 c.i. vs prior year's 283 c.i.-1962 C2--Legendary "racing" L88 opt. engine-1967 C3--CrossFire Fuel Injection-1982. C4--330 hp* opt. eng. vs. 300 prior year-1996. Maybe not major-major, but significant, last-model-year options/changes.

* And while a 10% hp boost in the last year of C4 might not seem like a lot, (330 vs. 300), who wouldn't mind having a 473 hp (vs. 430), or a 555 hp (vs. 505) as a "stock" engine?
