As long as the snow is less than 3 inches the vette is a daily driver. A coupe will get all the groceries you will ever need. Got a 43 inch TV in the back. And also picked up a lawn mower. This car really can do everything.
Daily driving is split between my vette and a lexus is350 that my gf uses. Let me tell you the IS350 is AWSOME! Sometimes I catch myself wanting to drive the IS instead of vette! But other times theres nothing that replaces the feeling of driving the vette.

Shes love the Jeep for our brutal winters, I bought her a new one for this year, kind of a Maroony red color, Nice big wheels and tires on it. I bought it for her in September and I don't have one picture of it...hmmm weird.
When the wife took over the Silverado, I got rid of the Lincoln for the Vette and it is one of our DDs and after 26k best decision I made was to enjoy a Vette daily over the Lincoln
Picked up my 2011 GS the last week in September, now 4 1/2 months later, I just turned over 6,000 miles on it (I believe it was 6050 when I parked in the garage this evening). I agree with the others that have expressed sentiment that the work commute is now a joy because I get to drive my Vette. I understand that it's not a car for snowy roads, but living in Southern California, I can't imagine not driving the Vette every opportunity I can.....rain or shine.
I took it to Santa Barbara during a weekend that was a constant downpour. The car handled the water just great....I threw in a $4 door mat (cut in half) that I bought at Target to protect the carpet from the wet shoes (and it works so well that I just left them in there), and the mud and dirt on the body just hosed right off when I got home.
My point is, as a Daily Driver, the Vette is a great car (at least for my situation here in Southern California). And 3 mins with Mequar's Ultimate Quik Detailer at the end of everyday gives me a flawless car the next morning when I pull out. And just a thought....you'll never be laying on your death bed saying, "I wish I'd left that Vette in the garage more!".

Well, my first vette was a new 2008, it was my daily driver. I just bought another new corvette, this time it is a new vette vert with the red interior, which I love. In a few months I will be getting my Oldsmobile back on the roads, the Oldsmobile will become the daily driver most of the time. The Oldsmobile is at my folks house and snowed in and hasn't been run in about 10 years. Vettes are made to be driven and enjoyed, my dads old big block vette has over 300,000 miles on it now!
Use the Vette as a daily driver for the past 4 years and it's been great.
Always had daily drivers with Vette parked in garage.
Now I just enjoy life everyday driving 08 c6
Also have wifes 2008 awd 304 hp CTS for family travel.
Also an excellent vehicle.
I might suggest swap a lease for short term subsidized daily driver lease deals to see if another vehicle is what you want or need.
No headache with repairs as it's warrantied. Or take advantage till feb. 23rd a new Chevy Malibu 1lt also leasing now for around 170 a month no money down 36 month lease. Costs about as much as cable every month so it's a freebie. Nice daily driver with warranty and if you have GM bonus card points it can be as low as 110 a month.
Even at that price I didnt bother. I just don't need it even with this years snowfall.

My 2008 is my DD. With my commute and then weekend errands and then just driving around having fun with her I will put about 20,000 miles per year on her. My former car was a 2005 Mustang Convertible.
