Never understood why someone would buy a late model Corvette and not use it as their dd. I look forward to going to work in the morning 'cause I get to drive my GS!
Over 100,000 miles on my 07 & still running strong.
I just picked up this DD a few weeks back.. 04 Tahoe fully loaded for $10k. Interior looks and smells like new. I love this body style Tahoe and its perfect for a DD. Now my only problem is leaving it stock! I can't leave anything stock, I always feel the need to mod it! haha
As it sits now
My plans for it, Z71 matched grill, bumpers, new lights, a slight drop, and wheels.

2008 Expedition EL Limited 4x4 loaded, Black on black. One of the last one of these that they allowed to be leased before gas popped. it gets 12 miles a gallon, but tows the boat great. Lease is up in May.

That's a great deal on a 04 - high miles? Seems these things are still pulling low to mid teens here in CA.
07 C6 coupe Z51 is my DD. When the weather really sux or I need to carry 4 people or something I drive a 2000 740i - those are really good cars for the money. We also have a 2003 X5 that my wife drives most of the time during the week, although her primary car is a 2003 Mazda Protege5 that we bought new and now has 135K miles on it.
I just picked up a 2011 Scion Xb to keep the miles off the vette in the winter and to have another car with huge cargo capacity when I do video shoots.
It was inexpensive, reliable, and very roomy. The trifecta!
Now I just wish I had a garage. Even if I'm not driving my Vette it's sitting in the elements.

It has 179k miles on it but it was all highway miles. It was a single owner vehicle and the guy that had it used it to commute to the business he owned. Anyways it was a 2hr commute round trip on a single highway so that's where all the mileage came from. The guy really took care of it that's for sure. I couldn't be happier with it.

I have a '99 Z28 that I use for a DD...
I know the 'vette could handle DD duty, but I plan on keeping it for 15-20 years, so I want to keep the miles low!
Kia is great in the snow. Lincoln gets me by when I have a need for 4 doors and there is salt on the road. The Kia rides really rough so I don't drive it often. It is my wifes.
How much do you like the Buick? Like I posted the fiance really wants one but I refuse to trade in the SL550 for it. I said I would go for it if I could trade the vette in too and get a Z but we really don't feel like I would be gaining much since I'm going to SC the vette by summer and the Z has a fixed roof.
I have a 2001 Park Ave that I love. Really big and really comfortable.
C4 200k miles
C5 102k miles
Now a 2010 C6
All daily drivers in Washington DC traffic including the 270 split which is considered the worst in the country.
Also it is an MN6.
It is a fabulous daily driver and frankly driving it is my motivation to even go to work.

So you've made it through the snow DC gets fine? I am assuming some snow tires are on it.
