Why is the level of poor courtesy from other drivers raised against you, when driving a nicer car than another? I signaled to turn left off my rural county road, into my development. Guy behind me, whom was a fair distance back, decided to speed towards me, and swerve around into the right shoulder. So I give him the beams, and he u turns, runs me down, and busts out with the, "What's your problem Dick, I didn't do anything to deserve that! I HATE PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT THINK YOU RULE THE WORLD! Think your so cool in your badass car!" I calmly told him it's illegal to drive in the shoulder, and asked if he saw my signal. Well you can just assume the rest of that conversation. Kept my cool, and told him to have a nice day, and he turned around cursing. Luckily I was 4 houses away. CLOWN! OK, done venting. Have a nice day.

Many stereotypes go along with the car you drive. I've only had my Corvette for a brief time, so I haven't seen a lot of reactions other than everyone that thinks that they have a fast car tries to draw you out. There isn't anything to prove when you're (nearly in my locale) the king of the jungle.
A neighbor emailed me to slow down in the neighborhood when I had my red S2000. I NEVER speed in the neighborhood, but because I have a sports car, I'm the target. She failed to notice nearly all the SUV's blowing through the neighborhood scatter-tasking, oblivious to anything going on around them. Who's the dangerous one here? Needless to say, I laid into hear about her assumptions - and got an apology.
Just drive, enjoy your car, and be the good example of how driving should be done knowing that some people have already made a determination about you by your car. Prove 'em wrong.
I'm sorry but to turn around and follow me is a big no-no!! I hate confrontation BUT he would have bore my full wrath!! Eventually he's going to run across the wrong one!
Trucks and turbo diesel trucks are always riding my *** and wantin to race. I find it very amusing when I downshift and hit the brakes. They amedietly back off.
I understand if he passed you on the left (the way you were turning) but not on the right. It is not even illegal in most states. You should drive a big SUV. You are a real big target for tree huggers. Personally I don't care because their little econobox will not hold up well against my almost 3 ton Yukon XL Denali.

I ageee. I try not to stand out just BECAUSE of the stereotyping.
I grew up in a time when if someone did a stupid move you flipped them off. Maybe they flipped you back and that was usually about it. But, today you're dealing with a whole different mentality; it's called "road rage". We all know of stories. I know it confronts our egos, but ya gotta grin and bear it. No flipping off, no mouthing FU, and no high beams or you might get a gunshot across your bow. I think waving and a smile can be just as effective for notifying someone that you noticed their questionable move. Also, a shiny Vette probably doesn't help the other guy to formulate a rashional response.

Forget the rage and for sure forget the conceal and carry bs, come down to cars and cafe tomorrow starting at 8am and enjoy the ride.
Hey, thanks for reminding me. Forgot about that. I just might. Heard about it. Audobon road? Not sure where it is, but assume once I get to Channhassen, should figure it out.
I'm not going to tell you to grin and bare it, people should have more respect! Unfortunately that's not a valve that is taught or learned with younger drivers these days.

Great points! People drive just as bad no matter if I am in my 3/4 GMC, or on 1 of my motorcycles. Lesson learned.
I have no comment about the rude driver. But I have to comment about your Avatar
Your right, let's impeach the Son of a Bitch.
Or if we get lucky, give him 10 to 20 years behind bars.
