Im thinking about purchasing a reverse camera for my c6 z51 with NAV, but has anyone else done this and is it compatible with the OEM factory screen? Are you satisfied with the product and results?
I purchased both the 360 and camera and had them installed at a local shop. The backup camera displays super color during the day and night vision after dark on the factory nav screen whenever the car is put into reverse. I am completely satisfied.
I have had it for about 8 months and love it, I did the instal myself, if you have any abilities you can do it. They send a ton of instructions.
Sorry no pics, and I am on the boat right now so I can't get any to upload.
but the last member said they're not available now ? I forgot to say I want the 360 kit I emailed the company 5 mins ago , to see if its true.
I sell these kits...it is true

I would not recommend one. I really will do everything I can to talk you guys out of buying them when they are available.
Its cheaper and your better off going with aftermarket radio anyways all said and done
Pioneer x940 package with rear camera is 730.00
sell stock nav for 400.00 and you have 330.00 out of pocket and more features
the lockpick is 350.00 plus 70 for camera and your at 420.00 and still have the stock radio
Some want the stock look with more capability. I would not ditch my stock radio, even though the lockpick isn't available for my 2012 vette. I have installed the lockpicks in my TBSS and F350. I'm always happy with the result.
This is a backup camera/install that I think is very 'clean' looking.
It's a BMW X5 camera and as you can see it's mounted right above the license plate.
This is the only pic I have, but as I recall the Forum Member that posted this had a relatively easy time with the install.
That is my install on my 2011 GS. Camera required a small amount of bumper to be shaved to fit as shown. I tied the camera into the reverse light power and the video cable was run up the passengers side. It's been almost 2 years and still works great. I removed the factory NAV and installed a Kenwood 9980HD unit.

It's obvious that you don't like the OEM NAV, and alot of members share your views, but on the flip flop, many members do like the NAV, and actually know how to use it. Maybe it's not as user friendly as the after market ones, and the graphics aren't to your standards, but the system actually works quite well. There are many options to setting up a backup camera, without needing to use the Nav screen, for alot less money than buying a Lockpick, or a new Nav unit.
Just my .02

Thanks for the update. Good to hear it's still serving you well.
I've re-posted your pic a few times. Responses have always been very positive. I'll be sure to credit you in the future.
After installation of the Lockpick 360 does the touch screen still work or is all the screen control have to be done with the hand-held remote control?
