I wanted to ask if any of you have had any experience with these. Basically, what is your thoughts on the appearance of these covers and are they worth acquiring?
The article I read seemed to indicate they were a worthwhile investment in the appearance of your car!
I have them in black on my black '08 coupe and like the look better than the ugly gray caliper. I did not want to get involved with a painting mess and I did not want to take the calipers off to get them powder coated, have to bleed the system to reinstall, etc. My brakes were working fine, no noise whatsoever, and I did not want to take a chance on screwing them up by removing the callipers. A good compromise for me; easy installation and a clean look.
Had grey calipers, wanted red because it just adds to the look. I thought the covers looked cheesy too, so I went with a forum vendor and got the powder coated calipers - and upgraded my brake lines to SS in the process. Very happy with my choice.http://
Not a worth while mod. I installed them for two customers and they wanted off once they were on the cars. There is better mods to waste money on. Just my opinion.
I guess opinions will vary, but I like mine. I like the look, and the brake dust reduction is nice also.
I put them on my 08 vert because they were a gift from my wife. They grew on me after a while and most people like the look. I have a smaller cover on the rears.

Did you paint them on the car? If so, it appears to be a good color match; what product did you use?
OP...they look cheezy and out of place IMHO. Also the Corvette font is from the C5 era.
Yep, just pulled off the wheels, Cleaned with Brake cleaner and a small wire brush -several times, dried them off (air-compressor), taped-off the pertinent areas and slathered it on with a brush. It was the Dupli-Color Caliper kits (Madvet.com), Yellow, and black for the letters (for the letters I used a q-tip and magnifier headset viewer). Took me just an afternoon for all 4 wheels. Then I sprayed them with 3 coats of clear-coat.
