Corvette vs GTR
I know there are so many variables to this question, but would like some opinions on this. What would it take for a stock C6 to compete or even be able to beat 2012 GTR. Being their 0-60 is 2.9 sec and quarter mile time is 11.1 in Road and Track. Or even a Zo6 or Zr-1 Thanks

The great 1/4 mile times posted by the GTR are all 60 ft, with traps of 118-121 mph easily achievable by a well driven bolt on or cam only vette. A well set up Auto with the proper rear tire compound and size with a cam + bolt ons should get the job done. GTRs are no joke though and you would have to out trap speed it by quite a bit to make up for the 60 with a manual.

The GTR gives the Z06 a run for it's money.. and actually is quicker as the number dictate... if the Z06 driver does not know how to launch well he is toast.
You'd need a supercharger on a base C6, sticky tires and a lot of practice.

Gonna take some $$$$$ and practice to beat a GTR. A roll race might be a little closer.

I personally don't like it. I think the front is an Audi knock off, the tail lights are a vette knock off. Then the fact that I am a die hard American seals the deal on the dislike for it.

All being said now he wants to add a cam to the 3200 stall converter could he still be the GTR in the quarter mile. The GTR being stock. Talking about the 2012?
IMO I say yes if he could hook up. I would also say he would walk him.
I also heard that a tuned GTR is even faster?

It would take nothing for a stock C6 to compete with a GTR....beating a GTR would take something else. 
I've driven road courses with a few GTR's. The GTR does not appeal to me in the least but I respect its performance. The GTR is not invincible.
