I'm new here and a little confused. I too read the manual, and all the posts about having jacking pucks. I have purchased the jacking pucks and it's my understanding that I should use the side frame points to jack the car up?? So If I want to take off a wheel to clean or access behind the fender lining panels, I should use the under chassis points shown in the manual??
Are the jacking pucks ONLY for use by a shop lift??

Unless someone has the RaceRamps or other Ramp to get the car up in the air high enough to position the jack or crosbeam adapter correctly at the GM recommended lift points it sems to me the pucks at the shipping slots on the frame rail are the only viable option
Perhaps someone with real world expierence will advise us.
When using pucks, be very careful. I saw on here where one fellows car slipped off the puck while using a floor jack and busted the hell out of his fender and rocker panel.
Corvettemods sells a puck that replaces the cradle in your floor jack and it fits into the shipping slot also, should be safer than a regular puck which you would use at all four corners while raising with a lift...
