The guy is complaining about a $30 repair that will cost him $300 at GM service, and G f*ing M won't cover it to keep the peace with it's loyal customers.
Sh!tty customer service and customer appreciation if you ask me...
You alls response is the reason why gm will continue to put cheap crap in these cars, cause they know u will just deal with it. Wow, how dare we expect reliable parts.
Given that the "average" costs about $28k and the Corvette is double that, I'd expect every category to be well above the average.
I you read the article and ratings you will see overall it is ranked above average and described as better then most when you average out the 8 catagories. It is also ranked as #1 in luxury sports cars, with a very high 9.2 overall rating.
IMO a problem like this might warrant a new dealer, especially if you purchased your 3 vette's through said dealer. The best dealer I ever had was a ford dealer which while fixing my Mustang GT (Purchased in a different state) did extensive work under warranty to fix a small rattle in the drive train, then said "oh by the way I noticed a slight squeek from your shifter boot while testing the car so I ordered you a new one free of charge". That service manager gets my repeat business any day.

Then sell your car and buy a Ford. Simple solution !

The 2013 Viper finally figured out it was a supercar and gave it supercar worthy interior. I guess the Corvette hasn't quite reached that level. I feel for the ZR1 owners.
Lots of interesting comments here. I have owned Corvettes since 1975. Have owned a 62 as well. Past NCRS member. Six new Corvettes. Tired of hearing ther top creek and fighting the top to get it in the back end. Poor NAV. Just cheap interior overall. So, as many of you on here have suggested, I got rid of the 2009 C6 and traded it for a new BMW Z4. There is alot of competition out there and more on the way. I had a BMW Z3 for 7 years and can say that my BMW dealer is head and shoulders above any of the Chevrolet dealers I have dealt with. Have a good evening.

If you are so in love with your BMW why do you keep coming back to the Corvette Forum ? We all know by now that you weren't happy with your car. Get over it and move on with your life.
Wait just a minute here - is someone suggesting that the Corvette isn't PERFECT ????? I thought it was right up there near the top of the list of PERFECT THINGS you buy that starts with . . . . .

Yeah really....As you can clearly see ( I Sure Hope ) the discussion has gone well without him. People other than the OP have had similar or complete opposite experiences.

I certainly do not participate on any forums of cars I owned in the past. Very strange he would bring up BMW since of all the car companies is known as one of the worst. They have had major quality issues in the last few years.

BMW of all cars is the worst to bring up. They are listed well below average in quality. Chevrolet, Kia and most other brands are far ahead in quality.

Yep, all complaints we have read in the past as well as praises, noting really new. We've gone from 'your dealer sucks, they should have just fixed it, to, ' get rid of it if you don't like it, ' , then, ' I bought a BMW '
If all you want is griping and complaining, well then yes, this thread has proceeded nicely w/o him.
