All you have to do is carry some chit insurance for a week or a month and let it expire after you've registered your car, or just don't renew your registration and it's that simple to go without insuring your vehicle.

You need to tighten up your position on carrying insurance because you're pretty hypocritical in your argument against it.

Either you do or you don't, and you do, as does everyone else on the planet.
Down here if you get pulled over & do not have insurance:Your car will be TOWED>(Bottom Line)

How much would it cost to have a qualified shop replace one of the gizmos that pop the door open when the outside touch pad or inside button is pushed?

Although they do not cover everything they do cover most major issues. Especially the ones that could have end up saving you a lot of money. Some may never need the extended warranty. But until someone on this forum proves they can predict the future I will purchase them for my cars I keep over the 3/36.

Only one thing is certain. Parts & labor will not go down in price.

It's not just GM. Buddy has an 06 Corolla and something similar happened. Also not covered, even though he has the extended warranty.

I got the tire warranty at the dealership during the closing of the deal by the finance guy. Believe me, I went to use it as it was advertised and found out it was not worth the paper it was printed on. Will never buy from that dealer again and tell others not to either.

Live and learn.

For the money theres nothing else like it but your right, the parts they use often are made like crap. But i always wonder how much more would the car cost if they used say some parts made by acura or lexus. It seems that the little ***** that always break on my vette never break on the japanese cars.

At least American cars stop when you apply the brakes.

I changed insurance and the agent made a mistake. She had to cancel the policy and immediately issue another one.

Within a week I got a letter from the DMV giving me "x" number of days to surrender the plates or a warrant would be issued.

Don't get stopped when there's a warrant out. You will go to jail in cuffs and then have to get someone to bail you out. Car impounded.

It will get very expensive very quickly.

Ford GT owners are very hapy with Ford Focus window buttons, steering column, Explorer interior door latch and glued down rubber matts.

That money saved helped spend more on more important items!

Im sure vast majority of C6 owners want $ spent on engine not gloveboxes!

Do some research. If you're going to judge a car by sitting in it momentarily maybe Ford is a better choice for you. But again I strongly urge you to do some current research. I will help you get started.

I'm in the same boat. Such a nice looking car with the performance to back up the looks but when I sit in there I feel like I'm sitting in an old 02 Grand Prix.

The 2013 Viper finally figured out it was a supercar and gave it supercar worthy interior. I guess the Corvette hasn't quite reached that level. I feel for the ZR1 owners.

Exactly...Unless he thinks the dealer put a gun to their heads and forced them to buy a ZR1.

Viper is a cool car along with being very fast. But no matter how hard they try it will never, ever have the history, licensing dollars, name recognition or respect the Corvette has.

Kind of doubt that as the "vast majority" are men in their 50's and 60's.

Most would much rather have GM spend an extra .63 on a proper glovebox latch than whatever you can get for .63 on the engine.

Given that the "average" costs about $28k and the Corvette is double that, I'd expect every category to be well above the average.
