Later in the year I sold that keyed 67 Camaro to a kid on the next block after I bought a year old 72 Vette and the rest is history!!!

One of my worst flaws is I was the poster child for that Confederate dude on those front tags that say 'Forget,Hell no" Once I got old and got a terminal illness I got worse. My bad, but thats the way it is.

You said "after reading all the dos and don'ts of parking a Corvette and knowing it could still happen," so how were you parked?

Obviously no parking job deserves this treatment, but I am just curious.

Some of the biggest most evil scumbags Ive ever met attended church regularly. Maybe they thought it would save them from the way they lived and treated people. While more 'good' people attend church than the general population, it is not a accurate predictor of poor behavior.

my car was keyed as well I am debating on calling the police and file a report because I don't want it to show up on a CARFAX. What was the outcome of this did you have it fixed and did it ever show up on a CARFAX

Sorry to hear about you getting your car keyed, but you know this thread you found is from back in 2012.

My wife car got damaged by a deer and the police report was detected via carfax. A major mistake was made on the level of damage and I had to get the police department to change the level of damage per my proof of pictures just to sell the car two year later. It was like pulling teeth with butter working with carfax.

They had the car listed as major damage, car needed to be towed, totalled. My pictures and repair cost proved the car was driven home and the hood had a small dent. Carfax would not change there incorrect information with all my proof of damage. I had to contact the actual police who wrote the report 2 years later and he amended the police report. Thank GOD he was still with the department. Then carfax changed their report. This happened in Georgia. 2012.

Thread originator hasn't posted in C6 General for the last 6 months. He's a C7 fan now.

I feel bad for you. I can't stand people that do these kinds of things. Hope everything works out for you.

I have been keyed before too, and it is maddening. Not the vette.

Concerning Carfax, who cares, I could really care less on the resale value of the car.

I flip my vettes every few years so resale value is important to me.
