I had to just add my two cents!.
Last year, after hearing that the ZR1 would be no more after the c6's where replaced with the new models, I purchased a brand new 2013 ZR1.
It's now about 16 months old and has 2,800 miles on it. I have not even had my 1st oil change yet. I got in the car this morning and discovered that my leather dash has pulled away from where it was glued See images). I have 2 years of warranty left but I now have to bring it into those idiots and risk something else getting scratched of damaged. I hope you were able to get yours repaired?
Unfortunately, I'm still trying to find someone to take care of the dash pad problem. I've been to auto body shops, upholsterers, and still haven't found anyone who has a clue on what to do. I'm thinking maybe the Chevy Zone Rep might have an answer for me, but have been traveling too much to get in touch with him. I'll post my resolution.

Man, I am hoping that I will bring it in to the dealer on Monday and say "fix it" and thats that. $125,000 for a car I am expecting alot!
I have a very good shop around the corner that I will use. I will remove the pad myself so if something gets messed up, it's on me and I don't like others working on my car if I can do it.
I was hoping that someone had ran across this before.
wow! makes you think about getting rid of the piece of crap if happens to me. i've never seen any car with a problem that bad. i know i'll get some flack for this but i don't care. my vette is the first american car i had purchased in the last 30 years and it's things like this that made me stay away for so long. what ever happened to american pride and craftsmanship? people pay a very good price for their vehicle and they have to have this bs happen. it's not fair!!! i have a 06 cr-v and never had one little problem with that vehicle. 113000 on the clock and still running strong with the dash still intact. i changed the headlights once due to one being out, thats it. only paid $24000 for it back then. i hope you guy's get the issue resolved without incident.
seems like it happens to you guys in the warmer climate, Im glad my windshield is treated with a clear film that drastically cuts down on the temp. You southern boys might want to check into 3m crystalline
This is a common problem with most auto makers due to the government changing their regulations on glue/adhesive. I took my 2008 Z to a Chevrolet dealer here in Pa. and although it was not a warranty item, was out of warrant AND I didn't buy the car from them, they put a new dash in and only charged me $500.00. I agree I shouldn't have to pay them anything but they stepped up and didn't have to. It took 2 days to get the old out and new in. Cheapest I found the dash $1800.00 from gm parts warehouse. My brother in law does restorations on British and Import cars and has seen this too many times to count recently...

Good luck. This was our weekend car as well, but just out of warranty. The issue was elevated to the district manager, and denied. For $2,200 we could purchase a new 4LT dash, and labor would be free.... That's the best the dealer could do. The problem is that the replacement was made by the same manufacturer, and I'm not willing to spend $2,200 every few years on a new dash.
That said, I'm in a large vette club and I'm certain that no one would ever purchase a used 4LT Corvette after seeing my dash... I only hope changes were made in the C7, such as the manufacturer of the dash.
Sad really. GM can suck the life out of the populace by taking a govt bailout, but they can't stand up and take a hit and help out the customer when they buy faulty materials from their own vendors. Ever felt stabbed in the back?
What would Porsche do, I wonder?
I am just wondering for those of you have have the 4LT dash issues, where do you store your car? How hot is the weather where you live? If you left the car outside do you place a sunshade over the dash/ car cover? I have a 4LT myself and I am trying to prevent any issues with my dash. It is causing a little concern for me now I am seeing it is becoming more prevalent.
I just went through the threads and counted the number of actual CF members who have a 4LT dash pad issue. The number is (18). Interestingly many of them are in either Texas or Florida. Suggestions for causes range from; off gassing coming from the new plastic dash the leather is adhered to, incompatible leather cleaning products that may affect the adhesive, sun/heat, and perhaps high humidity-(this is a guess on my part).
Ways to protect include; UV window tinting, sun shields when parked outside, UV leather protection.
Most on here have received some type of compensation from their dealer. But some have not.

Pennsylvania garage queen, 2008 with 6000 miles,no leather products etc.
My 08 is kept in the garage. I have not used a reflector when parking outside. I live in northern CA and the temps get pretty warm in the summer. Humidity is not an issue in my area.
Our 2008 was garage kept - it is insulated, but can still get into the 90s in the Summer. Window shade was used whenever parked outside during the Summer months, and we've never used armor-all on the dash.
My guess is that the adhesive was not strong enough, since both the original dash surface and the underside of the leather are still somewhat tacky like a post-it note.
Leave it as is. Once they pull the dash apart, it will never be the same. Rattles, rubbing. They will only make it worse. Sell the car like I did and go German.
Ironically enough, the supplier of the leather wrapped dash is a German company. Draxlmaier. The first GM business they won was the STS-V leather wrapped dash. They supply Mercedes (including the Maybach), BMW, Porsche, etc.

German snobs take note.
Looks like Chevrolet has a widespread quality problem with the leather dashes in C6.
Yea but they know they can get away with rushing and poor quality on a chevy and people like us will still by them.
