What's your winter car?
As the days get shorter and the weather cooler, I start to get sad because I have to put the Red Sled away soon for the winter. Then I got to thinking that my love of cars doesn't have to end just because its the end of summer...so I went out and bought a 2013 mercedes
C300 4matic for my winter car. Was wondering what everyone else drives in the snow. Am I crazy for not going the SUV or pickup route?

My vette isn't a DD so when I wrap her up (Oct 3 when ins expires) I've still got my company car to drive and it's AWD also.
I'm thinking RAPTOR though in Feb when I'm due for a new one.

The winters aren't bad enough here to cause me to actually put away the car for the period. So I do still bring it out on nice days if the raods aren't salted over.
Otherwise my Toyota Tundra takes over most of the driving duties.

I still drive the vette regardless of the weather. On the days I don't feel like subjecting the car to the elements I drive my Trailblazer SS so that I still have LS power muahahaha.

Doesn't answer your question ... But, the nice thing about living in Florida is that you don't need to own a 'Winter' car.
We just have 2 vehicles ... The GS and my wife's SUV ... really don't need anything else.
No Snow Here !

2008 Subaru Legacy Sedan. Great in the snow (fluffy white stuff for those of you that don't get it) and nicely balanced. While I don't have the same power or open road feeling, I still have leather, heated seats, auto climate control, etc. Where I live AWD or 4 Wheel drive comes very handy.

Although, snow is rare where I live in Tucson I value the all-around utility and capabilities of a large, 4WD truck or SUV. For hauling the family and/or cargo, for towing trailers and for when high clearance and 4-wheel drive are necessary it's nice to have the capabilities of a big 4WD truck or SUV.
