It would be awfully funny if all these supposedly "accurate" renderings were far off the mark.

However, there is a growing trend among the auto companies that all their cars have a "family" resemblance (Acura is the biggest offender here). Traditionally, the Corvette design team has been pretty much autonomous and free to sent their own way. But those Camaro-esqe tail lights make me fear that the corporate suits may have dictated that the Corvette must now bear some resemblance to the Camaro.

Well if it is only a C6.5 that would make it a C5.75 since the C6 is a C5.5.

The rear view has been photoshopped, look at the pavement below the right side diffuser channel. I wonder about the accuracy of the jpeg. It is very angular and disjointed as presented .

By concensus over in the C7 Forum, the rear view of the yellow vert you refer to is not even close---- WAY off---- maliciously so.

Actually, I think it's a great strategy by GM to "leak" all these garbage renderings. Or, at least I hope so...

Good man If the only vehicle everyone bought was a Corvette, the entire world economy would collapse. Thank you for doing your part to make sure that doesn't happen

Thanks forthe pics and good point. Undoubtedly, there were a lot more styling changes between model years within the same generation back in the day. Generational changes should be about significant upgrades to the entire automobile starting with the chassis up. But I think the styling changes should leave no doubt that this is an all new car. As I stated in the original post, I'm fairly sure that the C7 will represent an improvement in every way over the C6 and thus worthy of a new generational status. And though the U.S. government is committed to selling its remaining 32% stake in the Company, I worry that the Government may have been influencing the Company's decisions. I'll be watching.

Yep, I'll bet that's it. Looks like the leaked owners' manual sketchings. And though I'd like to reserve judgment after seeing the car from a few more angles, I must say, It appears as though GM has done a good job. Though I'm a little leary about the "black fangs" on the rear of the car as well as the rear tail lights.....perhaps those things will grow on me.

No black fangs on the C6's bum
