As many have stated, the Dynamat is the first step.
Without direct contact with the flooring and adhesion
to that, you can't sufficiently decrease sound transference
With Dynamat and adhesion to the base flooring,
vibration is decreased. Without the reduction in
vibration, sound and volume will change very
little.
All I have done so far is the bulkhead behind
my seats and I am already 70 % happier
with my decrease in noxious sound.

As many have pointed out,the Blockit absolutely works. It does exactly what it states it will do in under 60 seconds.
Drops approx 10 dbs in the interior. Great for taking the edge off tire, road noise, stock & aftermarket exhausts.
Now if you have severe exhaust drone and or you're looking for dead quiet like a caddy, this is not for you.
This product was developed for those who want to address annoying interior noise issues without ripping up their interior.

Lol....no one in here was looking for "dead quiet like a caddy". I pulled the blockit out and spent 50 bucks and 2 hours with a few rolls of peel and seal and got a better reduction in drone than what I got with the blockit mat.
I paid 100 shipped for mine and no, it was not worth it.
Most who really like it probably have mostly stock cars with just a little outside noise getting in.
According to TKO, they will take it back. You pay shipping and a 20% restocking fee. I think the restocking fee is bogus but at least you can get most of your money back.
I have just ordered this package and will report what I think and as to whether I am going to pay a restocking fee. If I choose to keep it, I'll explain why.
A Forum Sponsor is nice to have but I think vendors have to be responsible for ALL of their statements. A 10DB drop (SEE MY SIG) is extremely large and I know that lower notes/Hertz are impossible to block without directly modifying the characteristics of the transmitting surfaces. I EXPECT that the improvements will be centered around normal speech frequencies.
Darth Vader exhaust versus Princess Leia's squeaks.

See post ten, also the radio is mush easier to hear especially in the C5. Worth my money!
I bought the Block-It mat/s when they first came out and glad I did.
As evidenced by this thread, it's not for everyone because it depends how the car is set up and the end results a person is looking for.
Block-It helps... not night and day, but I noticed the difference right away and for ME it was worth the money.
If you want to take the edge off the noise without tearing your interior all apart it's worth it ... IMO.
Anyone wanting to eliminate a Large Majority of noise needs to tear the interior out and add a complete sound deadening set up.
I personally did Not want to tear my interior apart
Later on, I added a divider in addition to the Block-It and that helped a little more in noise reduction.
OP never stated what noise they were trying to address with the block-it. We have all take guesses and shared our experiences, but without any guidance, we really don't know if we are helping or not, and it is turning into a debate. So, not very useful or productive.
I stated my experience above. I have no idea if it helped. Each person has their own experience with it. I placed mine on top of Dynamat, and eventually under a Lloyd's cargo mat. Finally, I went with Corsa. I daily drive, I was hoping to take the edge off a modest drone, the only answer ended up being Corsa. As many will tell you, drone is a frequency issue, it is not as simple as covering up the area of the noise and hoping it will go away.
The blockit will cover up tire noise and general outside noise, perhaps even make the stereo sound better. But it did nothing for drone that I considered modest, but hard to live with, on a 45 mile (each way) highway drive.
OP, if you are still considering this product, and are leaning toward buying it, I have one to sell you. PM me. SOLD!!

Has anyone compared the Lloyd cargo mats to a "Block It" mat. I realize Dynamat is probably the best choice but at this point I would like to do something quick and easy to start off.

I have not conpared the two but have a Lloyds mat over the block it. Not an end all be all but took the edge off the excess exhaust noise from open NPP and cut some road noise. Had the Lloyds before the blockit and it really didn't do much to me.

I had 2 Lloyd cargo mats and the "block it" and it didn't make a difference. I'm a vendor for Lloyd Mats , so I get them cheap. So, I installed dyna mat and it helped quite a bit.

I had them in my 2009 coupe and now have it in my 2013 Grand Sport. Both have NPP, and I have the exhaust open ALL THE TIME. I have found it makes a big difference and worth the money
