I'm glad I bought mine used since I don't think they are worth the "new" price. To me they are better at cooling the trunk area then taking care of the noise. Also buying used means you don't have a heavy rubber smell until it wears off. Buy it used and you can afford a Lloyd cargo mat for the same price as new. I'm not going to rip apart my interior to install insulation also. Too many issues with creaks and rattles later.
I have it in my 2008 conv. with stock exhaust. In my case I think it helps a great deal with tire and road noise. In fact, when I first drove the car after installing it the first thing I wondered without thinking about the Block It was why was my radio turned up so loud!
OK< so someone get a sound meter and video it without the mats, then video it with driving same route, same speed with the mats. Lets see what it does in a real world test.
I think someone people in here would be cured of something with a sugar pill too

Wondering if some have aftermarket exhaust systems. Iirc, it is designed to work with the stock exhaust. Makes a big difference.

I have the mats. Made my 427 so damn quite, I just ordered the mild to wild.
(if they didn't fit so perfectly in trunk (bit snug and took a little wrestling to get it in under the roof divider thing) I'd try and accomodate the video / audio idea but no, I like them where they are)

Dynamat is a vibration dampener. I am going to venture to say the same of this other product. If the panels are vibrating, it will help. Otherwise, you're expecting too much of it.
You apply dynamat to 25% of the panel to stop vibrations. Then you use closed cell foam and mass-loaded vinyl to stop the lower frequency noises, which will reduce the noise in the cabin.
Also, if you have drone, there are ways to tune the exhaust with length and placement of the mufflers and resonators. Some people even claim success with a 1/4 wave resonator.

I had the same feeling with our 01 with GHL exhaust, now I can hear the radio better. Also helped in 12GS.

The maker claims to have done just that, and posted some numbers.

I really miss my piping-hot toothpaste at the end of a long day on the road.
Weather tech is the name of the company. It's an all weather mat. Put your muddy dog on it.
Yep. But I don't have a dog... Muddy running shoes, wet exercise stuff, umbrella, etc. I'm using the car as a driver when there's no snow. I don't mind the road noise from the car with stock exhaust.

You have already told us in an earlier post that you don't think the product helps. So Dr. M, when you are not handing out sugar pills and snide remarks to us that like the Block It mats and think that they help why don't you be that someone to step up and give the OP and the rest of us that real world test with a sound meter and video.

Because I am not fool enough to buy it twice, that's why.... but hey, if sugar pills work for you and others, more power to you. And, by the way, I am not the only one with this opinion
Send me a set and I will gladly go buy a sound meter and conduct the test for you
and btw, the OP asked if it was worth the money and if anyone used, it, I used it and thought it wasn't worth the money. So you are saying only people who think it works and is worth the money should respond? nice forum this would be.... everyone stand around and pat each other on the back because everything sold on here is amazing and works

the mat sucks. I still have one and anyone in Central Florida that thinks its so great, can come over and try it out "that has hearing left". And if they really like it , then they can have it really cheap.

Everyone has their opinion and I respect that. And that is what the OP asked for. In your first post you said the product did not work and then I posted that I liked the product and it helped me. So we disagree, and I am fine with that. But you could not leave it at that, and then you had to post the sugar pill crap. No, I never said that only people that think it works should respond. But just because you say it did not work for you, are we supposed to pat you on your back and agree with you and say you are right that the product does not work. The majority seems to like it. Every product is not for everybody, that is why you have so many to choose from. Cost, convenience, expectations, hearing, exhaust type, tires, coupe vs. conv., I think are just some of the variables that come into play here. If you don't believe the vendors sound reduction test why didn't you test it while you still owned it?
Just add one for a week then pull it out and then say it doesn't work!
Simply nuts because it does work to quiet tire noise and makes the stereo sound better!
I would buy one again and I like mine. I can't see pulling all the carpets and adding Dyno mat either.
