You keep referring to very expensive hand rubbed lacquer paint jobs.
It's like I'm talking about bananas, and you want to talk about oranges.
The others get it, but you don't for some reason.
Like I said, it's all good, this really isn't very important anyway.
Back in the day the true Candy Apple paint jobs were very difficult to do really well... hence the higher cost. It's true that a modern tint coat paint job is not that big a deal but now it's done by robots that once programed, always get it right. The trick is to lay down that perfectly even tint coat.

that car is bad *** an its exactly the over kill im shooting for. the extra wide rear fenders are needed for the extra wide rear wheels 20x13 I believe . it looks like a vette on steroids an I love it .

What I'm saying is, the Candy Apple Red color is just another color. No different than Crystal Red Metallic, or Night Race Blue, or Blade Silver.
All of those colors, and hundreds of others, look beautiful from the factory.
They are very common, not considered exotic, and do not cost thousands extra to order.
Yet, when it comes to Candy Apple Red, expect to pay a hefty premium as though it was some extra labor intensive process to produce.
If anyone knows why it's so expensive, please tell me, I'd like to learn.
