If you were doing a widebody on a base model you'd be fine. The white car in all the pictures is a base model with a supercharger and widebody with Z06 suspension and brakes.

The 06 GS Clone and the 427 Vert both have steel frames. I won't be doing anything to the 427. I would like to do it on the 06.

Subscribed! Haven't read through all the posts yet, sorry.

Which connectors are you looking for? Curious also about the function of the lights. Just like or close to the C7 function?

And without getting into details, our fabricator and I discussed lots of options yesterday and it looks like this kit will, at least initially, be an add-in kit that will use your factory fenders and bumper. This will give the same outcome with OEM fit on everything and the cost will be untouchable in value. The templates will make the install easy and a few hours of bodywork before paint will be MUCH cheaper than the cost of new fenders and bumper. I also am not a big fan of non-urethane non-OEM bumpers. In the decades of car building experience we have it is very VERY rare to find parts that rival OEM and hold up to the test of time. When you do find them they are usually out of the price-range most would or could pay.

I'm pretty excited about the new plan. It's going to allow a lot more guys to be able to afford this conversion. Just selling your factory headlights will cover a nice percentage of the kit! I'll add some info to the website soon. I'm shooting for January pre-order special pricing and to have the kits start shipping in Feb.

Again, if you have a connection with harness plugs (no pun intended) please let me know!

Definitely will let you know. If you have a painter I could have them installed and prepped/ready for paint in a couple days once the parts are here. Will email you when they are to talk more John.

Same function as the C7 with the added function of being able to turn the DRLs off during the day and leave them on at night with headlights. I originally thought they would be too bright at night but I've not once gotten flashed from oncoming traffic. They look like LED headlights at night. Bright but not blinding at all.

The ability to turn off the DRLs is nice for when you're sitting in the car, say a parking lot at night or somewhere you don't want to draw attention that the car is running.

If you can shoot me over an email or PM of the C7 plug schematic that would be awesome.

Do you think people would die if i bought a 60th Anniversary Grand Sport Coupe w/ 5k miles and did this? I know the die hard Corvette old guys ostracized me for taking my 01 Speedway White Z06 out and racing it and modifying it lol.

initial molds will be done today. Once the harnesses are done and brackets are done we are going to do an install on a customer's car showing how this could basically be done and ready for paint in one day. It's going to blow your mind the change this makes for the price and how quickly it can be done!

Are you going to make a video of the process? That would be better than still pictures.

Yes. There will be step by step instructions as well as a video that will show this being done. Probably try to do it with a clock in the video to prove how quick it can be done.

This is still in molding and production so these are just status updates. There will be no videos of the production phase

Do you plan to have a carbon fiber option, and / or a ZR1 vent option?

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate deer confrontation! Hopefully, you came out unscathed. Whether you decide on the GS or C7, may you get some good coming out of an ugly incident.

This is the large fit panel. It will be smaller and allow for easy alignment and very little bodywork in comparison to fitting new replacement panels. Don't mind the gap lines those aren't there for anything other than a quick test fit. I'm also going to do a narrow / standard body kit now. I do need a customer who wants their Widebody car done in central FL. Email me for details.

I just might be game for this. About ready to change it up again to avoid buying a C7 at the moment.

Also should have some info concerning the headlight pigtail harness early in the week.

2008 VY Vert with GS conversion.

Hey guys. I'll be out of town this week but I will get back with those of you who contacted me next week. The response has been almost overwhelming - and that's saying a lot with some of the sales I've done over the last decade on the forum. I appreciate all the offers to do the install on your car. A decision has not yet been made... it will probably come down to who can get the car to me at the right time. Basically you'd be paying for the kit and no installation labor. I'd get the car to the stage that you are ready to have it painted. I'd prefer not to paint it due to schedules but that can be negotiated I'm sure. Have a great week. I'm really hoping to have the pre-ordering available this month and shipping starting in Feb sometime.
